Altador Mini-Plot Full Walkthrough

Last step! w00t! :D To begin, visit the Observatory. Then, click on the "Return to the Hall of Heroes" button. You'll be looking back at the statues. See the three dots above the Jerdana and Siyana statues on the floor? Click them.

Next, make a visit to the Archivist. He says to go find the constellation... but there's only three stars! You need to find the next "three." To do so, pay a visit to the Janitor. He'll allow you to take a stroll in the basement, where multiple gears appear. Now, you need to visit the Archivist again, and he'll show you how to find the other half yada yada yada... :P

To continue, visit the Perfectly Flat Rock Quarry. You need to mouse your cursor around the right of the quarry till you find a clickable rock. Click on it and offer to pay the 50NP fee for it. You won't usually have to actually pay for it (except on rare occasions when the amount will be deducted from your onhand Neopoints), but you WILL need to have at least 50NP on hand. Once you have the rock, run back to the Janitor, view the basement, and click on one of the gears. Then, return to the Janitor and press the button to open the ceiling. Return yet again to the basement and retrieve your rock. You need it.

Again you'll need to go back to the Quarry. Once there, click behind the green Jubjub miner. This will "throw" your rock over there to create a distraction and then allow you to pick up the rectangular rock sitting in the bottom right corner of the quarry. Don't forget to re-click on the rock you threw to get it back!

Pay a visit to the Herbology Club where you'll come across the grumpy quiggle. Ask him about the circus, and then ask him to show you how to juggle.

For the last time (phew!) visit the Quarry. After hearing about how bored the Jubjubs are, offer to show off your juggling skills for them. This tricks them into giving you a third and final rock.

Return to the Janitor and then the basement and click on three gears to place your three rocks. The best method is to put a rock into the gears one at a time and see what effect it has on the roof; however, after 10 attempts the gears will lock up and the puzzle will reset itself, so you can only test the first 9 gears and then use your tenth guess to input the actual combination. (If you haven't found the third gear after testing the first 9 then that probably means the tenth gear should factor in your combination). You are looking for the 3 gears which open the right side of the roof the most, so if a gear opens the left side at all then you can ignore that one. Make a note of the gears that open the right side of the roof the most, then put your rocks in the combination of three that will open it the furthest to the right.

After that you need to press the ceiling button, then click on the full constellation.

Once you've had your full six star constellation show up, return to the Archivist. You're on your way to finding the Hunter constellation.

Make your way to the telescope. You need to search for the pattern that you saw of the bow and arrow. You are then able to click on the dots and join them up to create the lines. This is what you are looking for:

Congratulations! You have discovered The Hunter constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this:

The janitor shouts, "WHAT?! After all that, I don't even get to see the ceiling all lit up pretty? NONSENSE!! This is ridiculous! I demand reparations! I demand satisfaction! Something must be done! ARRRGHH!!" He starts running around in circles, frothing at the mouth and growling incomprehensibly.

The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room.

The Wocky approaches you. "Well, aside from the whole drama with that nasty Quiggle, you sure have found a whole lot of new constellations. I just wanted to thank you again for helping us out and being such a great club member. In fact, right now, I'm preparing a new paper for the Altadorian Journal of Astronomy, all about how new constellations can be identified in the heavens. If you don't mind, I'll put your name on it as co-author, since after all, it's your findings that the paper's based on, so you really deserve the credit."

The Book of Ages has also been updated with the final chapter. However, this isn't it! When reading the last chapter, click the flames in the hands of the Darkest Faerie.

The Archivist says: The archivist says, "Strange, I'd overlooked that drawing of the Dar--" He hesitates for a moment, and gathers his composure. "The Betrayer. But you think it means something, you say? But what?"

He plops into his chair and rests his chin on his hand. "The fire in her hands... well, it's practically her trademark. And the picture does resemble her statue in the Hall of Heroes. Except on the statue, the flames are stone, just like the rest of it. Perhaps there's some way to bring the stone to life? There might be such a spell in the Archives somewhere, but the cataloguing system doesn't go into detail about specific spells, just the titles of books."

He shakes his head. "Of course, there are thousands of spellbooks in there... tens or hundreds of thousands, perhaps. I wouldn't know where to begin to find the proper spell. Finding the coordinates for the correct room, just searching randomly, would be... madness of some kind."

Take a stroll to the Archives Lobby and click the doorknob on the purple door to enter the archives. For the next step, you'll need to know the exact coordinates of your Sleeper Constellation. However, to avoid all hassle, visit the Jellyneo constellation finder. Punch in your Star Data, select Sleeper from the dropdown, and then at the very bottom, it'll show you your room containing the spell book. (In X, Y form.)

With those numbers, you'll need to visit the room in the archives labeled as X,Y, whatever those numbers are. To do so, look at the URL after you click on ANY of the doors to visit another room. It should be something like this:

See the two red numbers? You need to replace those with your numbers. So, if mine were 3,15, my URL should be:

That room will contain the necessary spell book for completing the plot! :D To find it, click around the shelves. There are 31 books, one of them being the spell book pictured below.

When you've found it, enter spell 29884. (Someone found that by manually checking the first 29,883 spells!) And... Nothing happens. Wow. Anti-climatic, eh? Well, actually, visit the Hall of Heroes. The Darkest Faerie is now flaming! :O

Place the Amulet onto her neck as before, and then step back...

You place the necklace around the neck of the Darkest Faerie's statue...

As soon as you do, the flames on her hands flare brightly, beams of light shoot out from cracks in the stonework, and a few seconds later, the statue explodes into a pile of rubble!

A loud ringing sound echoes throughout the room, and across all Altador. Everyone staggers back, looking very dizzy, and puts their hands to their temples.

Then the ringing sound ends. A minute later, Finneus, the Archivist, comes running inside. "Oh, goodness!" he shouts as he reaches you. "I remember it now--I remember everything!"

"Indeed you do," intones a deeper, more profound voice. You turn to see King Altador striding into the room, Jerdana at his side.

Finneus sees them, but he doesn't seem frightened at all. Instead, he rushes over to Jerdana, and bows before her. "My lady, I'm so, so sorry to have doubted you. I didn't remember, you see--"

Jerdana chuckles gently. "Of course," she says. "That was the intent of the spell, was it not?"

Finneus cracks a smile. "Yes, I suppose it was. Um, perhaps we should explain matters to my friend over here." He glances at you.

Jerdana approaches you. "You look confused," she says. "Of course, since you knew nothing from before the spell, you have not remembered anything. So allow me to explain."

King Altador puts a hand on your shoulder. "Let us adjourn to the Council Chamber," he says.
