UPDATE, JANUARY 5: Faerieland and Altador are no longer grey. (The Lost Desert remains grey.)

Three more lands have now turned grey!


At the time of writing, there does not appear to be any updates at The Void Within hub. TNT has not specified precisely when Episode 3 will begin. The official FAQ says "towards the beginning of 2026." A roadmap shared in August specified "end of January" 2026. These greying lands were perhaps automatic, prescheduled changes. We'll update you if TNT indicates otherwise!

Happy New Year! The start of January means another chance to collect some freebie foods and Neopoints!

Today is the final day to earn Bronze Coins and unlock threshold prizes from the Workshop of Wonders event in Faerie Fragments. This includes the event-exclusive Light Faerie Usuki Set.

According to the in-app timer, the prize shop will remain open for you to spend Bronze Coins and Gears through Wednesday, January 7. However, today is the last day to earn Bronze Coins, Gears, and threshold prizes, and there are no more Neopets.com item restocks currently planned.

Today is also the final day to purchase items from Captain QuickFinger's current stock at the Travelling Treasure Trove in Tales of Dacardia. The current selection features various wintery-themed items.


It's not known when he will next have stock, nor what that stock will be.

The currently ongoing Donation Dome event is not ending yet. It will continue through Wednesday, January 7!

The preorder for the Lord Kass plushie from Makeship closes on Wednesday, December 31, at 6pm NST. That's under 24 hours!
This a guaranteed preorder, meaning the plushies will be produced-to-order based on the preorder quantity. As such, there is not expected to be an opportunity to purchase one after the presale closes. Additionally, all sales are final and non-refundable.

This is the first ever Neopets NPC plushie, and the first plushie to be released through Makeship. Makeship ships worldwide.

The Faerie Dolls Mystery Capsule was recently released on December 24, 2025. At the time, it unusually contained 9 items instead of the typical 10.

At some point on December 28, a tenth item was added to the potential capsule contents:


Unfortunately, this means anyone who opened one of these capsules prior to then did not have a chance at this item. To make up for this, if you purchased capsules before it was added to the pool, today TNT has instructed Neopians (via a Community Ambassador) to submit a ticket to Neopets support to request replacement capsules. When submitting the ticket, just mention the Ilere glitch and that you're hoping to receive replacements.
