Annual Freebies and Discounts (Yearlies)

Every Neopian Day, you do your dailies, but some things are only available once a year. The Official Neopian Calendar lists holidays, but not what actions you can take on those days. There annual freebies and discounts are scattered throughout the year, but are only available on specific days. This article lists them all out for easy reference.

Annual Events

Annual Events do not have an exact date, but are still worth mentioning, as they happen every year, or most years.

• Neopies Awards / Guide: At the beginning of the year, usually around January or March, vote for your favorite things from the past year and earn prizes.
• Festival of Neggs / Guide: In the spring, usually around March, April, or May, collect Neggs from around Neopia by following clues, and earn prizes.
• Altador Cup / Guide: In early summer, usually starting in late May, going through June, and ending in early July, sign up for a team, play games, and earn prize shop points to spend by the time next year's starts.

Defunct Annual Events

These events used to occur annually, but are now considered defunct.

• Daily Dare / Guide: Usually in the Spring, play a game every day beating a set score to earn prizes. Last occurred 2019.
• Daily Faerie Quests / Guide: Usually in the Spring, visit every day to get a guaranteed Faerie Quest. Last occurred 2020.
• Game Masters Challenge / Guide: Usually in November, play games every day beating a set score to earn prizes. Last occurred 2018.
• Charity Corner / Guide: Usually once a year, donate items to receive a reward. Last occurred 2020.

Pet Days

Every Neopet Species in Neopia has a Pet Day to celebrate. We've listed all the Neopets in alphabetical order with their holidays. The Official Neopian Calendar lists the Pet Days in date order, if you prefer. There's ways in which the species is celebrated that apply to that species on or near that day.

• Swashbuckling Academy / Guide: Free training for the Species on the Pet Day (If already enrolled in an unpaid course, cancel and re-enroll to get the free course).
• Limited Edition Pets / Guide: Certain Limited Edition Neopets can be created on their Pet Day at the Create-A-Pet page (Chomby, Cybunny, Grundo (or Space Adoption Agency year-round), Hissi, Jetsam, Kiko, Koi, Lutari, Poogle, Ruki, Tonu).
• Art Gallery / Guide: Submit your Species-related art for the related Art Gallery (The day of the Art Gallery may be be before, on, or after the Pet Day; check the Neoboards for exact day the gallery will go up).
• Poetry Contest / Guide: Submit your Species-related poetry for the related Poetry Contest (The day of the Poetry Contest may be before, on, or after the Pet Day; check the Neoboards for exact day the contest will go up).
