Neopets: Treasure Keepers

This game has been retired! You may no longer play it in any form. When the game was discontinued, a special Grundo's Warehouse code was issued with some special prizes. You can find details on redeeming it below.

Petpets

In a fight, a puzzle or even a trap, your faithful friend will aid you with spinning the Wheel of Uncertainty. No matter the skill difficulty or the foe, a Petpet will always come out victorious. Petpets are a very useful tool in Neopets: Treasure Keepers. Each Petpet has one trait in which they master. These traits are similar to your own skills: Combat, Reflexes and Puzzle Solving.

Using Petpets In Your Adventures

After deciding on an adventure, you'll be shown the Petpet screen. On this screen, you can choose to either bring a Petpet with you, or go the adventure alone by clicking the "No Petpet" button.

Let's start off by bringing along our long-time companion, the White Babaa. This is the Petpet that you receive during the tutorial. Until their time of need, a Petpet will follow behind you as you complete your adventure. The White Babaa is a Thinker--its special skill allows you to automatically succeed at any one Puzzle Solving skill check. In other words, your Petpet works like a Luck Point, only Petpets are limited to a certain skill.

To activate your Petpet's ability, you must be currently playing a card that uses a skill your Petpet has mastered. If your Petpet is eligible, the Petpet button will appear to the right of the Wheel of Uncertainty, conveniently showing a Slorg. A Petpet's ability can only be used once per day, so it's a good idea to collect lots of different types of Petpets! After their job is done, a Petpet becomes tired and will have a little storm cloud hanging over its head.

I'm so tired...

Refreshing Your Petpet

If your Petpet is too tired to help you with any more adventures, you can perk them up by feeding them a Petpet Biscuit, which allows them to be used an additional time during the day. Do this by clicking on your Petpet during an adventure, or in your shop. You'll have the option of using a treat (if you have one) or purchasing one. A Petpet Biscuit costs 2 , but it's worth it if you have the money to spare.

Now your Petpet is ready and raring to help you on another adventure!

Petpets in Shops

You can place one of your Petpets in your shop in order to cheer up your customers. Petpets make your customers happy when they visit your store. They will often stop to admire your Petpet and can encourage your customers to stick around and purchase something.
