The Void Within Plot Guide

Today, Chapter 11 has officially released! This means you now have another 4,000 plot points you can earn over the next two weeks. (Or, up to 7,000 with the help of Chapter Meter Energy Booster.) Pages 1 through 8 of chapter 11 have been made available under the Story tab. Reading the comics will grant you an additional +8 plot points (if you're below the chapter point maximum), along with 3 new prizes.

Of course, volunteering and battling remain as available chapter tasks for you to fill out your 4,000 points. There is now an additional pet slot available for volunteering, so to use all 8 at a time you'll need a Premium membership or an additional pet slot purchased from the NC Mall.

There is also a new challenger available to battle: Vira! She gives 40 plot points per victory, double the usual from any other TVW opponent. Defeating her also unlocks the "Beat Vira" Achievement, which is the final Achievement of Act III. Completing all of the Act III achievements will earn you another 100 plot points and a wearable item.

TNT Luna has shared an update in Neopets communities this evening about a slight change to plot points:

We've done an update to plot points for The Void Within! Plot points earned from the battledome plot fights have been increased, while rewards from the Neohospital activities have been lowered. These balances help give greater rewards for tougher activities while dialing back on more casual ones. We hope you enjoy the updates, happy battling!

This was prefaced in yesterday's New Features update, which said:

Hello Neopians! We’ll soon be adjusting how plot points are earned in the Battledome and Neohospital! These changes are part of our ongoing effort to balance rewards across activities, helping to encourage participation in areas that need a little extra support, and giving more recognition to the tasks that require extra effort.

Stay tuned for the update coming soon!

We have confirmed that the specific changes are:

• Battledome Waves are now 20 plot points per wave, up from 10.
• Hospital Shifts are now 40 plot points per shift, down from 60.

This change went into effect at an unknown time earlier this afternoon.

Today, a second avatar for the Attack on Altador mini-game was discovered!


To receive it, simply play Attack on Altador (if you can), and type defeatvoid during game play. The only other requirement is that you successfully submit your score—either by winning or by clicking "End Game".

Note, that you must have a >0 score to send, and there is some glitchiness with ending too early and sending scores, so we suggest waiting until Wave 2 at least to be safer. (Otherwise, just do it during your daily play for +10 plot points!) If you end your game before finishing all waves, you'll get a sad King Altador screen, and there will be no event telling you about the avatar. Check your Neoboard Preferences and it should be there.

And of course, the plot continues onward with the new 4,000 point chapter point cap. Make sure you're getting your extra 1,000 points this week if you missed that update yesterday.

Also, note we didn't say 3,000 point chapter maximum in that previous sentence! New with today's update, everyone now has a 4,000 point chapter maximum! However, there is also an NC item you can purchase for 175 NC that will boost your chapter maximum by +1,000 points further, and you'll be able to have 3 of them active per chapter for a total of +3,000 maximum points.


After reading page 18 of the story, Leonard will invite you to a new game... Attack on Altador! It's a basic tower defence game, similar to Biscuit Brigade or Neopian Battlefield Legends (and many other non-Neopets games in this genre).


We now have a guide with a prize list and a recommended strategy; we may continue to refine this in the coming days as more is learned about the game! Your first time winning the game awards you an item prize and +10 plot points. There is also an avatar earned from repeated play, but the exact conditions are still currently unconfirmed.
