The Void Within Plot Guide

Today, page 2 of chapter 5 has been made available under the Story tab.

Reading the comic will grant you an additional +1 plot point along with the following item:


This item is an equipable weapon, though also has a "Use on" option that consumes the item but does nothing.

Reading the comic will also unlock "Neopia Central Skirmish II" at the Hospital and Reserve Barracks.

The additional Hospital shift makes it possible to hit the 200 point daily maximum in just two visits per day if completing all five available shifts. (Or just one visit if using a Plot Points Fortune Cookie!)

The new Battledome challenge is five waves: two Voidlings, two Void Prowlers, and the Void Wyrm. This basically means it is just a tougher version of the first Act II challenge, "Clash over Kiko Lake," plus two Void Prowlers. This means there are no new item rewards available from it.

UPDATE, ~8:16AM NST: The comic appears to have been fixed. If you have previously visited the page while it was broken, you will need to do a hard refresh. On a desktop device, this can be done by pressing CTRL+F5. For mobile devices, you will need to consult instructions for your browser & device to either hard refresh or clear cache.

The additional Volunteer slot and Battledome challenger are also now active. However, the new Battledome challenger has two new, exclusive item prizes that may appear in your battle prizes pop-up, but they seem to be improperly activated and will not actually appear in your inventory, nor will any prizes you appeared to receive alongside them for that battle. (When this happens, they do not count against your 30 item limit for the day.)

Although there is one new, exclusive item prize that appears to be functioning just fine.

Finally, as with the release of the Void Wyrm last month, the first time you defeat the Festering Void Remnant you will be silently awarded an additional 10 plot points. This is in addition to any points you receive from winning the battle, and does not count towards your daily cap of 200 plot points from battling. If you are using our checklist, we recommend manually adding these to your battle points total for the day.

Today, page 1 of chapter 5 has, well, not been made available under the Story tab. The comic (or something required to load the comic) seems to be broken, and will appear forever loading.

Information on a new Battledome challenger, the Festering Void Remnant, has appeared on the TVW Battle hub, and a new fight option has appeared on the Reserve Barracks page, but attempting to select it will open a pop-up telling you to continue the story first, which you cannot do yet.

Similarly, a button to begin a second Hospital shift in Act II has appeared on the Volunteer Centre page, but attempting to start a shift will open a pop-up telling you to continue the story first, which you cannot do yet.
