Lost in the Dark
Beginning on August 7, 2025, Baelia and Luxinia were Lost in the Dark and needed to get back to the group. Their new Doglefox friend helped users guide them safely through the caves. As the plot progressed, users were left to their own devices to navigate the tunnels to find a prize.
Lost in the Dark does not count as a game played for the Quest Log game task. It will also not appear in your High Score list as a game played.

Except this was only during Chapter 8.
We'll need a lot of luck to make it through these tunnels. But our new little friend seems eager to help us. Let's go!

This is a lot more ominous when you have to face it alone...
So you want to explore these tunnels in search of a prize? Well alright, but it's pretty dangerous. You could get lost forever and ever!
How to Play
Click the button corresponding to the tunnel direction in which you wish to travel. Since the faeries and their light are gone, each decision leads to a random outcome, so it will take some luck to succeed. The game may be played once per day, or twice per day if you have an active Premium subscription or choose to watch an advert.
You always begin with a two-tunnel option.

50/50 - I see you, Kiss the Mortog...
While exploring your only source of light goes out. Guess you'll have to venture on by luck alone! Which direction should you go?
From there you'll either find a dead end or proceed to your next set of tunnel options, which can be another set of two or a dreaded three-fer.
So far so good, but now the path opens up in many directions...never thought a multiple-choice test could be this stressful!
If you reach this junction, in no particular order, the possible outcomes are just finding the exit, entering the dead end, discovering a treasure chest, or even being sent to another set of tunnel choices.
Wow, things seem to be going really well. Sure, hope you don't mess it all up now!
Now look at that. You've found something!
Guess recklessly entering these dark, ominous tunnels actually paid off...
If you find the chest room, you'll be presented with another tunnel choice where you need to guess correctly to find the exit. Unfortunately, the odds are high of finding a dead end and ending your game.
Wrong turn!
While it may seem like you are free as soon as you press that button, just know that some alternate version of yourself is forever lost in those tunnels now thanks to your hubris!
Original Mechanics
During Chapter 8, the ears of the Doglefox subtly pointed to which direction you needed to go.
You always began with a simple two-tunnel option and the following poses indicated which one to choose to proceed.

Left

Right
Subsequently, you would be presented with a three-tunnel option, and the Doglefox image would have even more subtle variations that would indicate in which direction a hidden chest was located in addition to the exit, although the images were indistinguishable between each pair without looking at the url.
If you looked at the image url of the Doglefox (by right clicking and selecting Inspect on desktop or long pressing on mobile), the two directions indicated which was the way to the chest and which was the exit, respectively. For example, the image url containing lid-styx-ears-straight-right meant that the chest would be located by selecting the Straight option, and clicking Right would take you immediately to the exit and finish the game.
If your lid-styx-ears- image was...

left-straight
Chest: Left
Exit: Straight

left-right
Chest: Left
Exit: Right

right-straight
Chest: Right
Exit: Straight

straight-left
Chest: Straight
Exit: Left

right-left
Chest: Right
Exit: Left

straight-right
Chest: Straight
Exit: Right
Oh wow! We did it!
Okay, we need to regroup and get out of here fast! I'm still worried about what we saw back there!
Once you found the exit, you were locked out of the game for the remainder of the Chapter.
If you clicked the wrong option at any point, you would potentially be sent back to the previous juncture, or the characters would pout and you would need to start again. Despite this messaging, there was no wait time to begin again for finding a dead end.
I think we are even more lost now! Better take a break before trying again.
