Tales of Dacardia Mobile App Guide

The limited time donation event in the Tales of Dacardia event is ending today at 11:59 PM NST. TNT has just clarified that the event prize store will also close at this time and there will not be any post-event awards, nor will the items continue to be available via any other means. You must trade in all your Crabby Tickets before midnight today if you want any of the on-site or in-game items.

Get them today if you haven't already, as this is your final chance!


You will need a NeoPass linked account in order to claim any of the on site prizes. They are all limit 1 per account.

The limited time donation event in the Tales of Dacardia event is now live! This event will last until the end of October 9th. You must have the latest version of the app installed to participate.


You will need to complete a short introductory quest from Lania, including building the event plaza if you have not already, before starting the event. The event is similar to Charity Corner, in that you donate items to earn points, which can then be redeemed for prizes. Prizes include existing items, new decorations, and some on site items:

There is a limit of 200 points you can earn per day, but by using a paid booster, you can increase this limit to 400 points per day. There are additional prizes available for total donation points over the course of the event, including another exclusive item:


A selection of grey-themed items have also been added to the Pearly Parlour in the app.

A new update is available for Tales of Dacardia today! This update is available for both iOS and Android, and includes a new limited time event starting on the 25th (Wednesday).

While not confirmed at this stage, it is possible that the event may award on site items as the last Altador Cup event also did. The update also includes the release of many Illusen and Jhudora themed decorations, several new colours, and the release of the Techo species.

The second part of Tales of Dacardia's Altador Cup themed event is now live, and running through August 31st. Note that if you already completed your daily quests this morning prior to the update, progress has been reset and you'll be able to complete them again once you download the update

The second half of the event will have you making more decorations, and even a new building. At the end, if you are linked with NeoPass, your Neopets.com account will be granted a re-release of the previously exclusive Island Builders stamp, along with 30,000 Neopoints:


Once you have built it, the arena building will serve as another minigame you can earn Pearly Neggs through, similar to a game of Shootout Showdown on Neopets.com.

Alongside this update, a new addition of a Wheel of Prizes building has been added. Once the quest to build it has been completed, you may spin this wheel once per day for free, and an additional time every 6 hours by watching an advert. Prizes for this wheel include new in-app items, Pearly Neggs, and even some Neopets.com rewards if you are linked to NeoPass.

The Altador Cup fervor has arrived on the island of Dacardia! There will be an in-app event running from now through August 31st. There will be two waves to the event.

For completing the wave 1 quest line, you'll receive 30,000 NP and the Dacardia Team Sweat Headbands for your Neopets.com account:

Today, a new Neoboard has appeared! This one is dedicated to the Tales of Dacardia mobile game app!


The icon for the board features a beloved Crabby-bot.

While the game was officially launched world-wide earlier this month, it has been very limited in terms of the content and storyline released thus far. We're hoping the launch of this board means more gameplay is on its way soon!

Following the global release of Tales of Dacardia last week, the app has been updated last night to iron out a few bugs:

Bug fixes:
- Unearthed some more pebbles in the debris
- Friendlier Daily Quests
- Buddy Bulletin Board stuck issues have been addressed
- Resources gathered past 999 are aligned
- Lost Cypress and Pine trees have been found
- Neopass issues are still being addressed. Thank you for your patience!

Additionally, a notification when you reach the end of the current content has been added to make it clearer when you have finished. The delays with on site Neopoint rewards also seem to have eased over the weekend.

For those attempting (and failing) to link Neopass through the app, Neopets support have the following suggestions:

Method 1: Manual Entry

Type out the email and password manually instead of using the saved email and password to attempt the linking.

Method 2: Link TADA to NeoPass through NeoPass

Access your NeoPass account on a mobile or desktop browser.
Navigate to the profile section (top right corner).
Add your TADA account using your TADA player ID.
To find your player ID, go to the opening page of the NeoPass app. Your player ID is located above your email address and looks like this: XMYnp1rxs2MYvpt2m. You can easily copy it by clicking on it.


Method 3: Disable 2FA

Disable the two-factor authentication (2FA) to link TADA.
Enable 2FA once TADA is linked.

Finally, there is an in game Pride event running, with daily freebies (within the app, not on Neopets.com) throughout the month.

Tales of Dacardia, previously known as the Island Builders app, is now going live worldwide! Starting on June 5th in your country, you should be able to visit the app stores to see a download link. (It's going live at midnight local time where you are—so if you're in Europe, you already have it at time of writing!)

Not too much has changed since the beta, so expect the same game mechanics as before. You'll be charged with rebuilding a town on the island of Dacardia after a storm wiped everything out.

This app also uses NeoPass, the login system Neopets released earlier this year. If you sign in with your NeoPass account, your Neopets.com account linked in NeoPass will receive item and Neopoint prizes for playing. (If you opt not to use NeoPass, you can still play the game, but you won't receive any items or NP and your progress will be saved only on your device.)
