Account Linking & On-Site Prizes

You can link your Tales of Dacardia game with your Neopets.com account via NeoPass, allowing you to unlock special onsite bonuses for play. This will also enable you to continue with the same game if you switch to a new device.

Be aware, you can only link your Neopets.com account to one Tales of Dacardia game, and your game cannot be reset or started over once linked.

Each device can only be logged into one account, and there is no way to log out or change accounts (other than by deleting and reinstalling the app).

Linking Your Account

To link your account, on the opening splash page, click the grey "Login" button.

You will be taken to the NeoPass login page in an in-app browser. After logging in to NeoPass, you will be asked to provide consent for various features of NeoPass.

Once successful, you will see your NeoPass email underneath your Tales of Dacardia ID in the upper left corner.

You can also verify your account linking status by viewing your Profile info, as accessed through Settings > My Account. You'll see your email listed as the linked account and your Site Rewards will have a green check by the chain icon.

I'm linked, gimme gimme gimme prizes!

In your profile, an unlinked account will show your Game ID instead of your email, and will have a button to login with NeoPass. There will also be a red X by the chain icon.

I'm unlinked, I don't like prizes.

Troubleshooting

Occasionally, the Site Rewards will become disconnected even though your account is connected. You'll see your email listed as the linked account, but there will also be a red X by the chain icon. In this instance, you are still logged in to NeoPass, but since you can't login again to reset the Site Rewards linking, you need magic to restore the connection.

Of course there are glitches...

Logging in from a different device usually resets this connection, and for many others just uninstalling then reinstalling the app to restores the connection.

Earning Prizes

Your game must be linked to your NeoPass account to earn any on-site prizes. Presently, if you completed an objective with a reward before linking your account, the prize will remain as Pending in your game until your account is linked.

There will be an in-game notification when prizes are earned, and for each you will receive a Neomail on-site.

If you do not yet have your game connected to your account with NeoPass, you'll see a followup popup, which you can just close or check the box to not see again:

Log in to your NeoPass account to collect your reward! And don't worry if there's a delay - even if they take some time to show up, your rewards will be granted.

In Settings > My Account, and then clicking on Site Rewards will show your prizes earned, detailing out the prize and how it was earned, when it was earned, and the status of the prize as either Pending or Completed—the latter indicating having been sent to your Neopets account.

Daily Neopoint Limit

Neopoint prizes are currently processed through to your Neopets account in batches at approximately 2:00 AM NST. Only 100,000 NP can come through in a given day, so if you have many pending rewards, it may take multiple days or even weeks for all of your awards to be issued.

Item prizes earned are sent through to your Neopets account right away. If your account was initially unlinked and you later link your Neopets account, the items will be awarded retroactively, but still in batches.

Standard Prizes

The on-site prizes for Tales of Dacardia are a mix of No Trade and regular items.

Event Prizes

The first event with on-site prizes launched in v1.2.1 with the first wave of the Altador Cup crossover event. Since then, various events have continued to issue Neopets.com item prizes and Neopoints (in addition to many in-app prizes). Check out our guides for more information:
