Petpet Puddle Quests
Petpet Puddle Quests are a new type of quest introduced as part of the conclusion of The Void Within. Hosted by Ozzy, completing a quest will allow you to paint a Petpet currently attached to your active Neopet.
Getting the Quest
Petpet Puddle Quests are obtainable from a Random Event or from the Deluxe Quest Fortune Cookie.
The reward from Petpet Puddle Quests can also be granted from completing a quest for Iridesia (formerly Baelia the Grey Faerie).
Items Requested
Ozzy can request any item matching one of the below conditions. View all in Item Database »
- Category "Gardening" with rarity r84 through r96
- Category "Petpet Supplies" with rarity r83 through r88
- Category "School" with rarity r80 through r93
If you receive a request outside these categories or rarity ranges, please let us know!
Completing the Quest
Although the quests are given at the Faerie Quests page through the Deluxe Quest Fortune Cookie, you must turn in the item at the Petpet Puddle. Returning to the Faerie Quests page after receiving one will show no indication of the quest.
(Lack of) Restrictions
Petpet Puddle Quests do not block you from using the Shop Wizard or Super Shop Wizard, unlike Faerie Quests.
Petpet Puddle Quests also do not block you from receiving a Faerie Quest! You can even receive a new quest from the Deluxe Quest Fortune Cookie on a subsequent day, even if you haven't completed your Petpet Puddle Quest.
Using Your Reward
After turning in the requested item, Ozzy will offer to paint the Petpet currently attached to your active Neopet. You can choose any paintable colour for that Petpet.
All possible options will appear in the dropdown, and selecting one will show a preview of your new Petpet.
You will be asked to confirm your choice before proceeding.
Upon confirming, your Petpet will be immediately transformed!
The transformed Petpet will function just as if you had painted it with a paint brush. This means that, unlike Petpets zapped by the Petpet Lab Ray, you can paint them again. Further, when removed, they will remain in their transformed colour rather than revert to their original colour!
Reward Timing
Similar to Fountain Faerie Quests, your reward can be used at any time and does not expire. You do not need to use it when you turn in the item, and can come back at any time. However, you will not be able to claim a second reward from Ozzy until you have used one you currently have!
Petpets that Ozzy Cannot Change
There are a few types of Petpets that Ozzy will not paint.
- Zapped Petpets: You cannot have Ozzy paint a Petpet that has been zapped by the Petpet Lab Ray (regardless of its current species/colour).
- Unpaintable Petpets: You cannot have Ozzy paint an Unpaintable Petpet, meaning a species/colour combo that could not be painted at the normal Petpet Puddle.
- Petpets with no other Colours: Perhaps this could go without saying! Some Petpets have no paintable options, and so Ozzy cannot paint them!
Finally, the Petpet you wish to paint must be attached to your active Neopet. If you visit the page with an active Neopet that does not have a Petpet, Ozzy will tell you to come back with a Petpet.
