The Fourteenth Annual(ish) Neopies - 2026
The Neopies have returned once again, with voting running from January 29, 2026 through February 15, 2026 (with the last new category posted on the 12th). As in the past, Neopians will determine the best from the previous Neopian year. The 28 categories this year are selected by TNT, and the Neopies Host will present you with the finalists in each category.
To kick off the Neopies celebration, the VIP Raffle for NC items returns starting on January 27th.
Voting
You have 3 days to vote in each category before the winner is announced, and there are 28 categories in total. Visit the official Neopies FAQ for the voting rules. Voting on the first day of each of the 28 categories being available will qualify you for a bonus final prize. 'Day One' will run for two days, from the 29th through the 30th of January.

Festival of Neggs
Neopians once again assembled to search for Kari's hidden Neggs. Only this year, someone else took over the job of hiding them much to the Negg Faerie's surprise. Zaira teamed up with Neopia's shopkeepers to hide Neggs so Kari could participate, and she did such a good job that Kari asked her to help out again in future festivals!
Faerie Festival
Neopians came together once again to donate to the Faerie Festival's collection efforts. A wide variety of new prizes were up for exchange including new coloured Petpets, plushies and collectibles. The Faeries also offered daily faerie quests with rewards ranging from large stat boosts to a fountain dip to finally get your pet's dream colour.

Festival of Fears
Neopia's Trick-or-Treat event got a whole new look! New name, new HUB page and most importantly, new stories and goodie bags! Readers learned of Masila's machinations, parts of Sophie's potion recipes and an operation to aprehend a mysterious warlock while they were perusing Reginald's library.
Advent Calendar
This year's Advent Calendar brought a slew of new items for daily visits, stories of a Varwolf's first snow and some improvements to the Winter Stalight Celebration ranging from new prizes for Taelia's quests, new stock at the Ice Cream Cart and new items to snatch from Snowager.

Item Prizes
For submitting your vote in each category, you will randomly receive one of the following items. If you vote in more than one category at once (if you are a day late in voting), then you'll receive more than one item.
TNT has implemented a no repeat prizes rule, meaning once you receive one of the items below, you will not receive it a second time. This means you'll slowly have a better chance at the remaining prizes as the event goes on.
Premium Subscriber Rewards
The Neopies will be offering bonus prizes for each day of voting to active Premium subscribers. To receive the prize, you simply must vote in each category during each category's 3 day voting period.
On the prize pop up, your Premium prize will be the first prize listed (left on desktop screens, top on mobile screens), with the second prize being the normal voting prize (from the list above):
There are a total of 28 prizes, one for each category, and as long as you vote in each category on time, you will receive only one of each prize. Here are the list of prizes:
Premium Daily Vote Prizes
Not Premium?
If you're not a Premium member, then you'll receive only one item prize from the regular pool of prizes above. You'll also see a button that allows you to see the possible Premium bonus items encouraging you to sign up.
If you do decide to become a Premium member, then you can go back and claim the Premium bonus prizes for any categories that are still open for voting even if you already voted. Once a category closes and the winner is announced, you may not claim the Premium bonus prize.
Once your Premium subscription activates (it can take a few hours, so don't wait till the end of the day), you will have a button at the top of the page to claim any bonus items you missed from still-open categories:
Bonus Prize
On the last day of voting, if you voted for every category on the day of its release, then you received two bonus prizes. Premium members received a third bonus item.
Late Ballots
New in 2026! A special item is available at the NC Mall to make up for any categories you may have missed the voting period for. You can only use it on categories where you have missed the three day voting window; you cannot use it to vote on the same category more than once. It's available to purchase individually, or in a pack of four at a slight bulk discount.
Although the item went on sale alongside the launch of the Neopies, it was not usable until February 2 because categories are open for three days of voting.
The item is not activated in the inventory interface. Rather, you can use on the Neopies page itself while one is in your inventory! First, visit the Neopies hub and scroll down to the "Winners Announced" section and expand it. Any categories you missed voting for will have a banner underneath them mentioning the Late Ballot.
You can click on a nominee to vote for, then hit the "Submit My Vote" button to receive your prize(s).

After using a Late Ballot, your choice will not be shown on your chosen nominee, however, the category will no longer show a Late Ballot banner underneath.

According to the item's description, the item will only be usable in "this years Neopies, which ends on February 15th" and so seemingly not in future years.
Late Ballot Prizes
Item prizes from using a Late Ballot are the same as if you had voted on time.
However, Late Ballots cannot be used to unlock the "Neopies - Know It All" avatar by voting for a known winner; you can only unlock this avatar with a vote during the original voting period.
According to the official FAQ, using Late Ballots for missed categories will restore your eligibility for the final bonus prize.
