[aːɹiː] - noun

Abbreviation of "Random Event". A message that pops up unpredictably while browsing the site, usually with the heading "Something has Happened!" Random Events may give or take away Neopoints or items, or cause changes to happen to your Neopets; however, many of them are just amusing snapshots of Neopian life (such as "A Shoyru whizzes past your head").

Example Usage:

"That's the third event I've had this morning! Am I walking around with an RE magnet strapped to my back today or something?"
