NeoPass Linking
The Mega Mini Games Collection can be linked your Neopets account via NeoPass, which allows you to send your game scores to earn Neopoints on Neopets.com and appear on the game leaderboards.
If you have not signed up for NeoPass, check out our NeoPass guide for more information and answers to frequently asked questions.
Don't have NeoPass? No worries! You are not required to have a NeoPass (or even a Neopets.com account) in order to play the Mega Mini Games Collection.
Linking Your NeoPass
Linking your NeoPass will require a second device capable of scanning QR codes. To start, select "NeoPass" on the main menu of the game:
The NeoPass settings menu will open—this is where you will control your game connection including logging in and logging out. After you select "LOGIN", you will be prompted to scan a QR code with a second device, such as a mobile phone.
The QR code will direct you to a secure NeoPass login page where you will be asked to review and consent to the connection. Once you consent, you will be prompted to log in to your NeoPass account, and a 6-character code will be generated. Enter this code on the NeoPass settings menu on your gaming console. Codes are not case sensitive, meaning you do not need to capitalize the letters when you enter it.
Code not working? Double check that you didn't mix up your O's (letter) and 0's (number)!
Congrats! You are now successfully connected to NeoPass:
In order to earn Neopoints, you must also have a Neopets.com account connected to NeoPass. If you're a new or returning player with no Neopets.com account, that's fine! You can sign up for Neopets.com later. Until then, you will not earn any Neopoints, and you will appear on any leaderboards anonymously as ***@***.***.
NeoPass Perks
Currently, there are only two perks for connecting with NeoPass:
- Earning Neopoints for your Neopets.com account for sending scores
- Placing on the leaderboards for sending high enough scores
There are no trophies associated with the leaderboards, and you cannot earn the on-site avatars, such as Meepit Juice Break's avatar, for any game in the collection.
Earning Neopoints
Users with a connected NeoPass can send game scores to their Neopets.com account to earn Neopoints. You may send up to 3 scores per game, per day—and up to 4 per game, per day as an active Premium subscriber. The submission screen will indicate how many scores you have remaining after each successfully sent score.
These games are not the same as their Neopets.com counterparts, and sending scores from the MMGC will not prevent you from sending scores in the Flash or HTML5 versions of the games on Neopets.com.
If you do not have a Neopets.com account connected to your NeoPass account, then you will forego the Neopoints earned, but you may still send scores to try placing on the leaderboards (see below).
High Score Leaderboards
Users with a connected NeoPass will also show up on public game leaderboards, displayed under their Neopets.com username, if their score is within the top 100 of users for their game platform. Users show up as redacted email addresses if they have a connected NeoPass that does not have a Neopets.com account linked to it.
Each platform (PlayStation, Steam, Switch, and Xbox) has its own set of leaderboards. Leaderboards reset on the first of the month.
Although the leaderboard page claims that users will receive extra Neopoints on a daily basis for being a "top ranker", this currently does not happen.
There are no trophies associated with these leaderboards.
