The Wonderclaw-themed event, Bigsby's WonderCog Hunt, is now live!

For 7 event days, you must find 7 wondercogs to help Bigsby Shadington repair his Wonderclaw machines in time for the August 21st debut. The first day of the event will last for two full days, August 13th and 14th. Day "2" of the event will begin on August 15th.

In addition to finding the wondercogs, you can also visit Nigel for daily prizes!

UPDATE: We have confirmed the Soup Faerie avatar is now available via donating. This avatar was first released in 2003, and prior to today was only available when feeding your pet. Preliminary reports suggest it is randomly awarded when donating a minimum of 5,000 NP. (If you receive it from less than 5,000 NP, please let us know!)

Today, the Soup Kitchen has been updated. This was recently teased in the July newsletter.


The maximum amount of Neopoints you may have before being able to claim free soup has been raised from 3,000 NP to 100,000 NP.

A new feature has also been added—donating! The page suggests "the Soup Faerie may even have some treats for generous donors".

If you donate and receive a reward of some kind, please let us know in the comments what you received, and how much you spent! We have already confirmed the Soup Faerie avatar is available, but it is unknown if there are any additional prizes. This is not a new avatar, but rather a new way to obtain an existing one.

Just when you thought the Void Within has finally given all it has to give, a new avatar has been released!


At the moment, this avatar has been added to the final prizes popup on the Void Within hub page. There's just a tiny issue with that. If you have already claimed your final prizes since the plot ended, you cannot retrigger that popup and claim the avatar.

The avatar is awarded for 'participating in every activity and reading the entire story', though this presumably does not mean completing every activity to its fullest degree.

If you have yet to claim your final Void Within final prizes, you may be able to claim the avatar if you qualify.

If you are using Chapter Replay cookies and you qualify, you may also be able to retrigger the popup if your cookie is still active. At the moment, the situation is slightly unclear.

As a surprise update, the NeoPass Weekly Quest Prizes have updated this morning!


These will be available for just this week and next week (today through August 23rd). The 20,000 NP prize for weekly NeoPass quests has also been temporarily removed, so you are guaranteed six (not necessarily unique) items each week.

The weekly bonus for completing all six quests has also been doubled to 100,000 NP. The daily bonus for completing the four daily NeoPass quests has also doubled to 20,000, though the item prizes there are unchanged.

One Neocash equipment item from Grave Danger has received a prize pool update today. The new NC prizes will come with any petpet ventures that began using the Adventurers Sword and Shield after the pool was updated. As we see them filter into Neopia, we'll be adding them to our Item Database and updating our guide. (As a note, the Neopoint prizes you can win have not had a refresh.)

Wonderclaw-Themed Mini Event Coming
An oddly-themed event is coming later this month, where Bigsby Shadington and Nigel the Chia are teaming up to bring back the Wonderclaw to the NC Mall!

Keep your eyes peeled later this month for Biggsby’s [sic] Wondercog hunt! Help him find cogs to fix the Wonderclaw machine and earn prizes in the process.

This is also going to be tied in to the New York City Neopets pop-up shop, and feature NYC-themed prizes:

Back in the digital world, Nigel the Chia has made a very lucrative investment in repairing an old NC Mall game machine, but he needs your help! Keep your eyes peeled later this month for an interactive on-site scavenger hunt where you can earn prizes and help Bigsby and Nigel fix the machine.

Customisation Spotlight Prizes Revealed
We previously reported on the updates to the Customisation Spotlight rolling out this week, but for the first time TNT has revealed what the new trophies and prizes will look like in this email:


It appears that each category (NP, NC, Pet Styles) will have its own trophy, along with themed editions getting one.

This month, Darigan Pet Styles will be returning, alongside brand new Baby Mutant Pet Styles. Here's a preview:


Tales of Dacardia New Content
This hasn't happened in years: Tales of Dacardia is finally getting new story content! In addition, this month's Donation Drive event will be Usukicon-themed.

Hello Town Planners! Big things are coming to Tales of Dacardia this month. With Usukicon gearing up, Dacardia has decided to get in on the fun! An all-new Donation Drive with Usuki-themed prizes is on its way, but that's not the only storm that's coming: a strange ship has been spotted on the horizon, and it seems to be bringing new quests, new resources, and new friends...

Meet the Captain of the Salty Slorg, play the all-new Cannon Cove minigame, and collect more Dacardite Stones in Tales of Dacardia's August update! (And don't forget to get those donations in!)

Updates usually drop mid-month, so we'd expect these to begin rolling out next week.

Neopets Funko Pops Arrive
Neopets have finally been immortalized as little plastic dolls with disproportionately large heads! (Well, I guess Kacheeks have always been that way.) You can begin preordering the Neopets Funko Pops wherever you normally get your Funkos from, starting now.

(If you'd like to help us with data collection, please do not use the multi scratch option. We need to know which icon image awarded which prize.)


Note that the first scartchcard you scratch will likely be a prize from the old pool, but all scratchcards after that will be from the new one.
