Legends and Letters

On May 20, 2020, Neopets announced that Legends & Letters will be discontinued, and the app was removed from app stores on July 22, 2020. At that time, the app was still playable if you had already had it downloaded to your device but is no longer available if you don't already have it.

The servers powering the game were slated to shut down on December 31, 2020 and end game play, but as of late 2021 are still active and allowing game play.

Download Options

Legends and Letters is currently available for devices running the iOS and Android operating systems.

iOS

To download the app on your iPhone or iPad, visit the App Store app on your iDevice.

Your iDevice must be running iOS 11 or newer in order to run Legends and Letters. To check your version, open the Settings app, tap "General", then tap "About", and look for "Software Version".

Search for "Neopets" (or "Legends and Letters" if that doesn't return the right apps for you).

The app should not cost anything to download, but there will be some in-app purchases available, as is standard for a number of mobile games.

Android

To download the app on your Android device, visit the Google Play Store app.

Your Android device must be running Android 4.4 (KitKat) or newer in order to run Legends and Letters.

Search for "Neopets" (or "Legends and Letters" if that doesn't return the right app for you). Alternatively, you can visit this Google Play Store app page.

The app should not cost anything to download, but there will be some in-app purchases available, as is standard for a number of mobile games.

Availability by Country

The app is currently not available for download in the following countries:

  • Belgium
  • The Netherlands

Although no official reason has been provided for the lack of availability in these countries, it is likely due to laws surrounding how loot boxes are regulated.
