Lair of the Beast
The Lair of the Beast has been on the Tyrannia map since its discovery. Originally it was just a random page that played a scary Flash animation, but became an item-granting daily activity as part of the conclusion of The Void Within.
How to Unlock
To unlock the Lair of the Beast, you need to complete Orion's Epilogue quest as part of the The Void Within. You can do this at any time, even if you did not participate in the initial plot!
Completing the quest line and playing the Lyre for the first time will also unlock the following Beast-related avatar:

Traversing the Cave
In order to reach the Beast, you must move through the cave. You can safely just click the buttons to proceed, as there's no way to get lost. However, clicking the buttons that indicate you're too scared will exit back to Tyrannia.
Rumour has it that a strange, evil creature lives up in the Tyrannian mountains. Climbing up to the cave entrance you can see that it is dark, and cold inside.
All you can hear within is the slow dripping of water... nothing else... do you wish to enter to investigate?
You enter the dark cave and slowly make your way forwards, brushing spider webs aside as you go. Up ahead you can hear some loud scratching noises, as if some creature was near... perhaps it can hear you too.

A withered old rope hangs from the ceiling. You look upwards, but it is hard to see anything in the darkness. Do you wish to climb upwards?
Climbing up the rope you emerge into a small cavern. The only other exit seems to be a large dark hole in one wall, big enough for you to climb through. Surrounding the entrance are jagged spikes of rock, giving the appearance of teeth around a central mouth...
You can hear heavy breathing coming from inside... warm air blows out of the cave mouth as the creature exhales. Do you wish to proceed??

Claiming Daily Prizes
Starting the day after you complete Orion's quests, you can visit the Lair once per day to claim an item prize.
After entering the cave, you will have to click on a lyre five times; it will move to a different part of the screen after each click! If you do not click it within a certain amount of time, you will forfeit your prize for that day. All players can receive one item prize per day, though Premium players can get a second attempt at clicking the lyres if they fail their first attempt.
This activity is not mobile-friendly! Unfortunately, despite being on a page with the mobile-responsive layout, the lyre can appear out of frame on mobile devices (and even on desktop, if the window is resized to a skinny width).
