Key Quest Game Guide

Key Quest is officially retired! Since Neopets transitioned to new servers in September 2014, Key Quest has been offline. In July 2018, it was announced that Key Quest was planned to return as a mobile app, but in December 2019 those plans were officially confirmed as canceled. The guide below is for the original Flash-based version.

Game Board Spaces

Each space on the Key Quest board does something! Whether it's a minigame, receiving a new power-up, or landing on treasure, you're ensured to always land on something interesting.

Below is a complete listing of the current spots in Key Quest and what they do.

Neopoints

You will be awarded 50NP for every one of these you land on.

Mini Game

A mini game will be activated for you and your opponents to play.

Power-Up

You will be awarded a random power-up (some of which are only available in 3+ player mode).

Key Space

You'll be awarded the colour key that is floating above this space!

Portal

If you land on this spot, you will be teleported to the other portal spot on the board if you so choose.

Treasure Chest

Landing on this space will earn you a key of your choice, a random power-up, and a random amount of NP. However you must have at least one key otherwise you will get a message saying that you have no keys to open the chest with.

Begin/Ending Spot

You will begin the game on this space in front of the Neohome you chose, and you will eventually need to be the first to the arrow spot in front of the Key Quest door if you want to win a gold key!

Character

You will be awarded a Character Card and the event that comes with it.
