Neopets: Island Builders sometimes launches themed events that run for limited periods of time, similar to events and plots on Neopets.com. They typically run for around a month, and feature exclusive rewards that are otherwise unobtainable in game.

Most of the events begin with a quest that involves either Lania or Ariel redecorating the Festival Plaza, a specific building used to herald the start of an event. Many events have also needed both the Mystic Jungle and Crystal Plateau areas unlocked in order to fully complete them.

Day of Giving, 2021

The first event was themed around Christmas being celebrated on the island, and ran between December 10th, 2021, and January 4th, 2022.

Valentines Day, 2022

This Valentines event ran between February 1st, 2022, and February 28th, 2022.

Festival of Neggs, 2022

The first Easter-themed event was held between March 31st, 2022, and April 26th, 2022. This event had a slightly different format to the previous two. Although there was an introductory quest, the majority of the event involved a reskin of the Crabby Capsule mechanic, with users instead finding Neggs hidden across the island. Opening those Neggs granted materials that could be used to craft several Easter-themed decorations.

Although the event claimed that there were exclusive rewards for reaching certain numbers of Neggs opened, including new Premium Foods and an exclusive Petpet reward, glitches with the event that were never fixed largely prevented any user from claiming more than 19 Neggs and locked them out from those rewards.

Upon the completion of the event and downloading the subsequent v1.3.6, any remaining Decorative Neggs were removed from your inventory and converted into Pearly Neggs.

Altador Cup, 2022

Island Builders Altador Cup Header

The first Altador Cup tie-in event was held between June 8th, 2022, and July 5th, 2022. This event was similar in function to the Festival of Neggs event involving a reskin of the Crabby Capsule mechanic, with users instead finding Yooyuballs hidden across the island. Opening those capsules granted an additional currency of medals that could be used to purchase exclusive event-themed decorations, hats, and premium food.

There were exclusive rewards for reaching certain numbers of Yooyu Capsules opened, including new Premium Food, a Hat, and an exclusive Yooyu Petpet reward.

This event additionally had a small quest-line that issued on-site awards for games with accounts linked to Neopets.com. Find the requirements and prize info on the Account Linking page.
