Plot Points Fortune Cookie
Be aware: The Plot Points Fortune Cookie will not double your chapter point cap, it will only help you reach the cap of 3000 points quicker.
The Plot Points Fortune Cookie was released on August 12, 2024. It grants double (or triple, if you are really lucky) plot points from activities for The Void Within for seven days.
This cookie also has an official FAQ on the Neopets support site.
The cookie was removed from the NC Mall on November 3rd, 2024, to align with the plot hiatus. It returned to the NC Mall at the start of Act III on August 4th, 2025.
According to the official FAQ, the last day to activate one during Act III will be September 22. Starting on September 23, the cookies will not be able to be activated, though can be saved for when the plot resumes.
How to Use
This fortune cookie can be activated from your NC inventory.
While the cookie is active, a banner will appear on all pages in the Void Within hub.
On desktop, a countdown to the end of the cookie's validity is displayed
On mobile, just an image of the cookie is shown by default, and a countdown is displayed by tapping it.
Any activities completed during this time will be worth 2× (or 3×) the normal amount.
For all activities, the doubled points are spendable in the Prize Shop. However, the doubled points from only some activities count towards your Trophy points.
Although the official FAQ states that no doubled points should count towards the trophy, we have found some do. We are not sure if the FAQ is incorrect or if the cookie is glitched.

Void Essence Collection
Collecting a single void essence will award 10 (or 15) spendable plot points and towards your trophy, instead of the usual 5.
Collecting all ten daily essence with a cookie active would award 100 (or 150) total points instead of the usual 50.
Claiming a community bonus with a cookie active would award 200 (or 300) total points instead of the usual 100. (This bonus will not be reflected in the pop-up window, but will be awarded to your spendable prize shop points.)
Although the x2/x3 will not be reflected in the pop-up, the bonus points are in fact awarded.
Hospital Volunteer Shifts
Completing a shift at the Hospital Volunteer Centre will award 40 (or 60) spendable plot points and towards your trophy, instead of the usual 20.
Reserve Barracks (Battling)
Defeating a wave of enemies at the Reserve Barracks will award 20 (or 30) spendable plot points and towards your trophy, instead of the usual 10.
This example is for "Battle for Brightvale II", which has 5 waves and thus 5*10*2=100 plot points. Although the x2/x3 will not be reflected in the pop-up, the bonus points are in fact awarded.
Story Points
Reading a story page will award 2 (or 3) spendable plot points instead of the usual 1. However, you will still only receive 1 point towards your trophy. There is no special message when this occurs.
Achievements
Completing an achievement will award 20 (or 30) spendable plot points instead of the usual 10. However, you will still only receive 10 points towards your trophy.
Completing all of the Act I achievements will also award 200 (or 300) spendable plot points instead of the usual 100. However, you will still only receive 100 points towards your trophy.
Defunct Activities
These activities no longer award plot points since the conclusion of Act II/start of plot hiatus in November 2024.
Dr. Landelbrot's Voidworks
Completing all three introductory rounds of Dr. Landelbrot's Voidworks will award double (or triple) points. However, you will still only receive the normal amount of points towards your trophy.
Cosy Campfire Collection
Completing a game of Cosy Campfire Collection will award double (or triple) points. However, you will still only receive the normal amount of points towards your trophy. There will be no indication on the prize screen of your multiplied points.
Tea Time With Tavi
Turning in supplies for Tea Time With Tavi will award 10 (or 15) spendable plot points instead of the usual 5. However, you will still only receive the normal amount of points towards your trophy.
Lost in the Dark
Finding the exit in Lost in the Dark will award 40 (or 60) spendable plot points instead of the usual 20. However, you will still only receive 20 points towards your trophy.
Doglefetch
During Chapter 8, from August 11 through 17, 2025, beating a game of Doglefetch would earn you 10 (or 20) plot points, or none if the chapter point maximum had already been reached.
