Fashion Fever is a Neopian dress up game which predates the customisation feature. Many people only see it as a way to earn quick Neopoints, as you only have to click three buttons ("Start Game", "End Game", and "Send Score") to earn 300 Neopoints. But it also makes for quite an interesting way to pass the time.

Click on the categories to display the different types of clothing. When you find something you like, drag and drop it onto the character to change its clothes. You can click on the "Change Character" button on the left to cycle between dressing up as an Acara, a Lupe, or a Kougra. Clicking anywhere on the screen behind the character will also allow you to cycle through different background scenes.
Pressing the "Randomise" button will create a character with a random outfit and background; by clicking on this button it is also possible to obtain certain options not immediately available. Click "Done" when you're finished to send your score and/or send a greeting card of your character to a friend!

Choosing a Character
You have 3 characters available to choose from, and each has 6 different colours:
- Kougra: Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Disco, Electric
- Acara: Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Shadow, Starry
- Lupe: Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Pink, Fire
Choosing a Background
Next you get to choose a background. You start with the default dressing room background, but by clicking anywhere on the background you can change the image to a Haunted Woods, Kiko Lake, Krawk Island, or Meridell Castle background.
Dressing Your Character
You have several options to choose from in Hats, Glasses, Tops, Bottoms and Shoes. If you check the "Allow Layering" option, you can add clothes on top of each other.

- Spiky White (gained by using the Randomise Character button)
- Spiky Dark Brown (gained by using the Randomise Character button)
- Spiky Light Blond (gained by using the Randomise Character button)

Randomise Character
If you're the daring type, click on the "Randomise Character" button. Each time you do, a different character will show up, fully dressed and ready for a night on the town (or in the woods, at the beach, etc.) This is also the only way to gain the white, dark brown, and light blond hair colours; if you want to use any of them, repeatedly press the "Randomise Character" button until you are given one with the desired hair colour, then proceed to dress them up as desired.
A note on randomising: if you click to randomise a character, the colour selection for that character isn't updated. For example, it is possible to get a Pink Lupe through randomising, even though pink isn't a clickable colour because you started with an Acara. If, however, you use the Change Character function, the colour selection is updated accordingly and you are able to select pink. (Thanks to Kata for this info.)
