Faerie Fragments Mobile App Guide

For a limited time (unknown exactly how long), there are open invitations for any Neopian to download and test out the Neopets Faerie's Hope match-3 mobile game!


Wait—Faerie's Hope? That's right, the Neopia Studio match-3 game released for a closed beta test earlier this January was completely tossed out and reskinned to be Faerieland-themed. For the most part, gameplay is identical, but the movie studio theme was ditched for some classic Faerieland clouds. Our guide will be updated in the coming weeks with the new content and theming.

To join, you'll need to tap the button below on a mobile device and it will take you directly to accept a beta test invite depending on your device type (Android or iOS). Clicking this button on an old-fashioned laptop will simply send you over to Neopets.com.


If you're interested in testing the game out, we recommend signing up ASAP as we don't know how long they will leave the beta invites open for.

Note: According to TNT, the Android version is currently only available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, the UK, and the US.

Over the past few months, the new Match-3 mobile app Neopia Movie Studio has been non-functional in the closed beta it had on both platforms. However, this morning a new build has been released, and the app has undergone a major change, down to both name and theme.


It is now called Faerie's Hope, and it appears the central idea of rebuilding a movie studio has been completely scrapped. Instead, the game now centers on an amnesiac Light Faerie who has been frozen in time since before the fall of Faerieland, and her efforts to restore her memories and rebuild her home.


Much of the match-3 gameplay remains the same with a few tweaks, however.


Note that, at present, this beta is only available on Android, and it appears only for the original closed beta testers there. There is no iOS build uploaded to the TestFlight app for the previous iOS closed beta. The new Android build contains monetisation elements, which may explain why there is presently no iOS beta version. Players of Island Builders may remember that all iOS beta versions have had their paid elements disabled in beta.


Many of the previous characters still appear, though with different names and different stories.

The recent beta for the newly announced match-3 mobile game, Neopia Movie Studio, has now entered open Early Access on the Google Play Store for Android devices! It remains in closed beta via TestFlight on iOS devices.


Due to being beta in Early Access, all progression in this version of the app will eventually be deleted for the general release.

For reference, Early Access is a term for in-development apps, but there's no real limit on how long apps can be in Early Access for. Island Builders, the last Neopets app, still remains in Early Access in the Play Store after eighteen months. So this doesn't necessarily mean that Neopia Movie Studio is moving closer to full release.

To further complicate matters, as with the launches of Legends and Letters and Island Builders, this release is only currently for specific regions (possibly only the US at this stage). It is likely that the app will be gradually rolled out to more regions as times goes on, but there is no public timeline for this yet.

The JumpStart Games page on Facebook began running ads yesterday seeking out beta testers for the upcoming match-3 game under the Neopets brand. The ads are set to appear on both Facebook and Instagram.

Currently, the only way to get access to the beta is to find these Facebook/Instagram ads, and tap the "Sign Up" button. The ad targeting info is not available, so we're not sure what types of users these ads are available to. (e.g. If it's only for users who "liked the Neopets page", or some other type of grouping.)
