Faerie Fragments Mobile App Guide

Tower Mode

Tower Mode is a different way to play Faerie Fragments than usual path of level progression, offering a separate set of levels that you can play an infinite amount of times, even when you are out of lives. Clearing these levels earns you Coins, Tokens, and power-ups.

Unlocking Tower Mode

Tower Mode is unlocked in three parts.

  • Tier 1 is unlocked after Level 50
  • Tier 2 is unlocked after Level 150
  • Tier 3 is unlocked after Level 250

Prior to completing Level 50, you will not be able to participate in Tower Mode.

Accessing Tower Mode

Once Tower Mode is unlocked, you can access it by tapping on the purple-ish building icon in the lower right corner of the overworld:

Completing Tower Mode

Tower Mode has three "Tiers," each of which have 5 levels. In order to complete a Tier, you need to clear all five levels in a row. If you fail to clear any level, you will be sent back to the start of that Tier. Luckily, it is not possible to get sent back down to a previous Tier!

If you fail any level other than the first in a Tier, you will be warned prior to accepting the loss.

You can track your progress using the left sidebar, which will show you which Tier(s) you have completed and how many levels you have cleared in the current Tier.

So far, I've completed all of Tier 1 and 4/5 levels in Tier 2

The Gifts from Neopia bonuses do not apply in Tower Mode. However, any infinite pre-level boosters you have active from any other source will function in Tower Mode. You can also use any individual pre-level boosters, power-ups, and Coins you have earned from any other method.

Levels

Tower Mode offers a set of 15 levels each day. These levels vary from day to day, but are the same for all players on a given day.

Each level of Tower Mode is identical to a Main Story level that you would have completed to unlock the Tier that it's in. They can be any difficulty: Regular, Hard, and Very Hard levels are all possible in Tower Mode. However, sometimes the moves provided in Tower Mode are less than was given for the equivalent Main Story level!

  • Tier 1 can seemingly contain copies of any level from 26 through 50.
  • Tier 2 can seemingly contain copies of any level from 51 through 150.
  • Tier 3 can seemingly contain copies of any level from 151 through 250.

However, there are some apparent exceptions to the above:

  • Coin levels are seemingly excluded. This means levels 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200, and 230.
  • "Tutorial" levels, where the game introduces you to a new mechanic, are also seemingly excluded. This means levels 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81, 91, 101, 121, 141, 161, 181, 201, and 231.

All other levels appear to be possible, though we won't know for sure until enough days have passed to see!

Timing

You can conquer each Tier of Tower Mode at most once per day, resetting at 2:30 am NST. A clock in the upper left corner of Tower Mode counts down to this reset time.

Rewards

Tower Mode is a great source of rewards, especially when you find yourself stuck on a very difficult Main Story level!

Level Rewards

Clearing each level of Tower Mode will provide the same reward of Coins and Tokens as you would from an equivalent difficulty of regular levels. Starting with the Summer Beach Bash event in June 2025, it will also award 15; previous events were not connected to Tower Mode.

Level Type
Regular 20 + bonus 20
Hard 50 + bonus 50
Very Hard 100 + bonus 100
Bonus Tokens earned from special tiles after completing level:

= 1

= 1

= 2

= 5

Redoing Levels

You can only receive level rewards once per level per day. If you have to redo a level due to failure, you will instead receive a notice from Luxinia that you have already received it!

During an event, you may appear to receive additional Bronze Coins after redoing a level, but this is just a visual glitch. No Bronze Coins are actually awarded.

Although it looks like I got 38 from redoing this level, it's just a visual glitch :(

Tier Rewards

Successfully clearing a Tier will also reward you with two different random power-ups: Mini Wand, Mega Wand, Magic Gloves, or Rainbow Negg. Tiers 2 and 3 will also reward you with Coins.

Between level-clearing and Tier-clearing rewards, you can expect to earn 15 * 20 + 250 + 500 = 1,050 from fully clearing Tower Mode.

Neopoint Reward

Conquering Tier 1 of Tower Mode each day earns you 3,000 Neopoints on Neopets.com! There will not be a notification in the app, though you will receive a Neomail on the site.

There are no on-site prizes for conquering the other Tiers of Tower Mode.

Achievements

Achievements for Tower Mode activity were first introduced in version 1.3.1 released on May 22, 2025. These included prizes both in the app and on Neopets.com; for more information on these Achievements and the prizes they offer, check out our guides:

Release

Tower Mode was first introduced in version 1.3.0 released on April 15, 2025.

When first released, Tower Mode was not random in terms of levels or tier rewards. The same set of 15 levels was presented every day, and the same set of tier rewards was earned. This was changed without announcement partway through the day on June 27, 2025, to the random levels and tier rewards we have now.
