Jinjah Roundup

The "Jinjah Roundup" event to celebrate the new year began on December 20, 2024. According to the Portal announcement, it will last until January 22, 2025.

Upon opening the app, a pop-up will inform the player of the event. All players who play Faerie Fragments during the duration of the event participate automatically; nothing special is needed to activate it!

The event can be accessed at any time by clicking the Jinjah icon on the left side of the overworld screen.

Event Participation

The event involves collecting Jinjahs primarily by completing levels.

Regular levels award 10
Hard levels award 20
Very Hard levels award 30
Champion levels award 10

Daily Quests

In addition to coins earned by completing levels, you can earn even more coins by completing Daily Quests. These can be accessed by clicking the icon in the lower right corner on the event screen.

Four quests are available to you each day, resetting nightly at 1:30am NST. Three quests will be available for 30 each with specific requirements; the fourth quest will always be awarded for completing the other three, awarding a 10 bonus.

Pressing any of the "Go" buttons will take you to play your next available main story level.

The 30 quests will be the following:

Complete a main story level.
Two of the below quest types. They can be one of each type, or both the same.

Match a certain number of a specific basic tile in main story levels: 30, 30, 30, or 30.
Generate a certain number of a specific special tile in main story levels: 5, 5, 5, or 1.

You can only progress these quests from tiles matched or generated directly by you; tiles that are cleared or generated as a result of a combo or during the level-end process do not count. You also can only progress these quests from actions on levels you complete; if you fail a level, you will not earn any progress from actions during that failed attempt.

Rewards

Upon reaching specific thresholds of Jinjahs, you will automatically unlock in-app rewards. There is one set of "Event Rewards" available for free; an additional set of "Premium Rewards" are available by purchasing a pass for $9.99 (or equivalent local currency). If you purchase the pass after reaching some thresholds, those Premium Rewards will be granted at the time of purchase.

The Premium Rewards are shown in the top row, while the regular Event Rewards are in the bottom row. The thresholds required are listed in between them.

When you have rewards available, the event icon will show a green "Open" button. To claim the rewards, simply visit the event page after reaching the required threshold. Your prizes will be granted automatically.

In this screenshot, two thresholds were passed since the last visit, so both were awarded!

All rewards from both tiers are listed in the table below.

You could continue to earn Jinjahs beyond 6,000, although no additional rewards were available for doing so.

In addition to the above progress rewards, an event shop is available to spend your Jinjahs on additional prizes. You can spend these as you earn them; you do not need to wait until after the event, nor will spending them prevent you from advancing progress towards threshold prizes.

Event Shop

In addition to the threshold rewards above, you can use your Jinjahs on extra rewards in the Event Shop! The shop is available from the very beginning of the event and will remain available until January 22, five days after the end of the event. This means you can spend as you go, or save them all for the end!
