Snorkle Bank

The Snorkle Bank is a paid bonus activity where you can claim up to 3,000 at a relatively cheap rate compared to the Store.

The Snorkle Bank seems to be based on actual items on Neopets.com, which are themselves inspired by both the Snorkle petpet and the real-world concept of piggy banks.

Accessing the Snorkle Bank

The Snorkle Bank becomes available after completing Level 200. You can access it by clicking the Snorkle icon in the top right corner of the overworld screen.

The icon will display how full the Snorkle Bank currently is.

Filling the Snorkle Bank

When the Snorkle Bank first appears, it will already be full. It can only be emptied by purchasing the Coins currently in the bank.

If you do empty the bank by purchasing the available Coins, you can refill the bank by completing Main Story Levels. The bank will fill by 3x the amount of Coins you earned completing the level. In summary, this means:

• Regular levels fill 60
• Hard levels fill 150
• Very Hard levels fill 300
• Coin levels fill 3x the amount you earned from the level

When you return to the Overworld screen after completing a level, the amount filled by your most recently completed level will appear briefly next to the Snorkle Bank icon before animating into it.

The Snorkle Bank will never be fuller than 3,000. Any coins earned in excess of this will not contribute to filling the bank.

Purchasing the Snorkle Bank

To purchase the Coins currently in the bank, simply tap on the Snorkle Bank icon from the Overworld and click the blue button underneath the Snorkle.

There are two thresholds at which you can purchase from the Snorkle Bank:

• When it has 2,000 or more but is less than full, you can pay $2.99 (or equivalent local currency) to receive 2,000. The Snorkle Bank will reduce by 2,000; any coins above 2,000 will remain in the Snorkle Bank.
• When it is full at 3,000, you can pay $2.99 (or equivalent local currency) for all 3,000. The Snorkle Bank will return to empty.

Value

Is the Snorkle Bank considered a good value? Compared to options in the Store, the answer is yes! However, your ability to purchase from the Snorkle Bank is limited by your ability to progress Main Story levels to fill it up.

3,000 at a cost of $2.99 is equivalent to about $0.99 per 1,000. At the Store, you would need to spend $99.99 on the 100,000 bag to get the same value! All other options at the Store have a more expensive unit price.

What about if the Snorkle bank is only partially full? 2,000 at a cost of $2.99 is equivalent to about $1.50 per 1,000. This is still a decent deal; at the Store, you would need to spend $14.99 on the 10,000 bag to get the same value, although there are three other options at a better unit value. Unless you are truly desperate for coins, it is probably better to wait until you've progressed enough levels to refill the Snorkle Bank.
