Faerie Fragments (originally known as Neopia Studio and then Faerie's Hope) is a mobile app available for iOS and Android devices. It has a somewhat long development history, during which time it was often referred to simply as "Neopets Match 3".
Game Overview
Faerie Fragments is a "match-three" game, an informal name for games where the player manipulates tiles into specific configurations that causes those tiles to disappear. Other Neopets match-three games include Sutek's Tomb, Goparokko, and the now-retired Ghoul Catchers.
Game Status
The game has been in development since at least August 2020, and first entered a closed beta test as Neopia Studio on January 8, 2022. An "early access" version of the app was released to the public in the Google Play store on January 22, 2022. This original beta version was discontinued in mid-February when the game servers stopped working.
The game returned as Faerie's Hope on April 13, 2022. Original closed Beta invitees could play the game on Android. On April 21, 2022, the game re-entered open beta for both iOS and Android.
On December 1, 2022, TNT announced that the official launch date of the Faerie's Hope app on both iOS and Android would be December 15, 2022, which is when the game officially launched in the App Store and Google Play Store.
On January 27, 2024, Faerie's Hope's servers went offline and it was no longer playable.
On August 27, 2024, TNT implicitly announced a rebrand to "Faerie Fragments" as part of the announcement for the September 2024 AMA.
On October 16, 2024, the game officially launched in the App Store and Google Play Store.
