Faerie Council Voting
With Fyora stepping down following the events of The Void Within, it's time to elect new leaders of Faerieland! 15 Faeries are campaigning, but only the top 6 will get a seat on the brand new Faerie Council.
Earning Ballots
You can earn one ballot per day by donating at least 150 points. The ballot is not an item in your inventory. Rather, you are simply credited it on the "Faerie Council Voting" tab of the Faerie Festival hub.
The festival lasted for 13 total days, meaning each player could earn (and cast) a maximum of 13 votes.
Casting Ballots
To vote, simply visit the Faerie Festival hub and head to the "Faerie Council Voting" tab. Then, click the purple "Vote Now" button!
You can vote for as many different candidates as you want as many different times as you want, as long as you have ballots to use, and as long as voting is open.
Voting was available until 6 PM NST on Monday, September 28th. While votes were still being cast, results could be viewed on the voting page in real-time, allowing players to track what Faeries were in the lead, and which ones might need an extra boost.
Voting Platforms
Not sure who to vote for? As a fun bonus, each Faerie had a small campaign pitch to help Neopians make up their minds. You can view their platforms below:
When I heard that Fyora was stepping down from the throne, I admit that I was worried... but I had faith she had a plan, and a Faerie Council sounds like a good one! It takes a community, after all, and you can't make a soup with a single ingredient. I may spend most of my time in Neopia Central, but I see Neopets of all walks of life, and support them and care for them with my whole heart. Plus, I'm great at multitasking! I can balance food prep, cooking time, stock checking, ingredient shopping and more to make sure that my soups are ready for when Neopians need it most. I promise to bring that same skill to the table, and bring home that sentiment and sense of community to Faerieland if I am elected – and I will keep working hard to make sure nobody in any corner of Neopia goes hungry!
As Fyora's trusted confidant, I wasn't surprised when she nominated me for a seat on the Faerie Council. I still can't entirely believe she's abdicating... but I have accepted her decision, and I will accept the responsibility of helping to lead Faerieland in her place. As a member of the Council, and the most powerful warrior in Faerieland, I will continue to protect Faerieland and defend Neopia from any threats that befall it!
I gotta say, Iridesia coming to me with a nomination for the Faerie Council on behalf of Fyora wasn't something I ever expected to see in my workshop. But I think it's a good idea – sometimes you need to create something new to solve an old conundrum, yeah? I may not have much experience leading, but I was a mentor to Iridesia, and I'm an expert at my craft. All my crafts! That's given me the ability to think outside the box... or think up an entirely new box that works more efficiently, and has a bunch of extra features built in. I'd be a good fit for the Council, I think. And as a Dark Faerie I know we get a bad rap, so this could be my chance to show that we're not all bad, and we want what's best for Neopia too.
Fyora's abdication has left a heavy weight in my heart. I left Faerieland long ago for... personal reasons, but she has continued to have faith in me. She trusted me to host the Faerie Festival in the past, and called upon me to help defend Faerieland as well. Though my heart is in Meridell and with the Neopets who call that humble land home, I remain loyal to Fyora, and would be honoured to act as a representative in her Faerie Council. I hope I have proven worthy of her trust, and that I can continue to serve Neopia in her stead.
I'm still not sure if I'll be the best Faerie for the job, but if Fyora sees greatness in me, I'll trust in that. She was right that I was so much more than just a Grey Faerie – and I think my time as a Grey Faerie has helped me see things that others may overlook. I spent a lot of time outside of Faerieland, so I've seen how others live. I want to help as many people as I can, both with my new powers and with my old heart.

Hah! Me, a part of a Faerie Council? You mean Fyora's pet project that she has so little faith in she's not even sticking around to oversee it? Yeah, right. Don't even bother wasting a vote on me. No, wait – you should vote for me, because that means it's a vote you're not casting for that pesky Illusen. Plus, then I'll get the satisfaction of turning the job down.
As long as I've been around, I never would have expected to be nominated for a Faerie Council! I'd be a good fit for it though, I think. I've been helping oversee things here on Mystery Island for longer than most folks here can even remember, and I'm rather tuned-in to the economy, having run the Trading Post for as long as I have. I'll be able to make sure that Faerieland's wealth doesn't go to waste, and that trade among all the lands is fair and profitable for everyone. And if that's not enough to fill your belly, I've come up with more than one creative Cooking Pot recipe in my day, so I'm used to finding unique ways to pull things together – even if they don't seem like they'll work at first!
I am grateful to have received Fyora's nomination for membership on the Faerie Council. Though I still sometimes doubt my powers and my place in Faerieland, I believe my outside perspective – having grown up in Shenkuu – could prove invaluable to not just Faerieland, but Neopia as a whole. I promise that if I'm elected, I will use my visions of the future to protect Neopia to the best of my abilities, just as Fyora herself has trained me to do.
I wasn't sure I'd be a good fit for the Faerie Council when Luxinia approached me with her nomination, but now that I've had some time to think on it... I believe I could bring a lot to the table! And I don't just mean my Negg harvests. Running the Festival of Neggs for so long has given me some strong experience in organizing events and people, and I've gotten pretty good at managing a lot of moving pieces and mentoring people! So if you're looking for someone experienced, and who knows how to have a good time, I'm the Faerie representative for you.
It's an honour to be chosen by Fyora to be a member of the Faerie Council! I have to admit I'm a little nervous about it, even though I guess technically I've helped take down a Neopia-wide threat... But this is a whole other matter. Even so, I think I' doing all right as the mayor of New Faerieland! And, in addition to my political experience (as little as it may be...), my powers allow me to feel the emotions of others and empathize with them. That can help me be a voice for Neopets within the Faerie Council – both in Faerieland and outside it. It's important that their voices are heard, too!
Luxinia's nomnation [sic] of me to the Faerie Council was... I admit, a little bit unexpected, but very humbling! I see a great many injured Neopets throughout my day, and I am always there to lend a kind smile, a warm hug, and a soothing dip in the waters of the Healing Springs. As the wounds of those who visit me wash away, I always try to have a chat with them, and have heard many heartwarming and heartbreaking stories alike from them. I want to make Faerieland a better place, of course, but I also want to make Neopia a kinder and safer place for everyone. If I am elected, I will take all I have learned from speaking directly with our Neopet friends to do just that!
I have to say, I was surprised that Fyora would nominate me for the council, and that Iridesia would second it... but I suppose I do see a lot of Neopets, and have learned a lot about their hopes and dreams. There is beauty in every colour, and in choosing a path for oneself. If I am chosen for the Faerie Council, I will use all I have learned from others in my many years running the Rainbow Fountain to help make Faerieland a more open, understanding, and colourful land, humble though my magic is.
Though I reside in the Lost Desert, my passion for making Neopia a better place burns bright. My contributions were modest, but I have helped to vanquish evil from Neopia before, and I continue to dedicate myself to the Lost Desert, protecting it without interfering with its denizens' affairs... save to protect them. If I were to be elected, I would be sure to hold the interests of those outside of Faerieland equal to those within it, and ensure peace and prosperity throughout Neopia.
I'll keep this short and sweet – but not too sweet! Fyora nominated me for the Faerie Council herself, and trusted me to give out quests to Neopians in her stead. I have to believe those were for a good reason. I'm more worldly and powerful than I look, even if I'm young. I think that's what makes me such a good fit for this position, though! It gives me a new perspective, just like seeing so many Neopians every day does. And if that wasn't enough to convince you... I have a great smile! :D
Faerieland has been ruled by a queen for as long as any of us can remember. Fyora abdicating is... it's unprecedented! We're living through historic times, and I couldn't be more excited to be given the chance to help create history! As important as tradition is, it's good to always look to the past to inform our future, and I promise to do just that as a member of the Faerieland Council. I will share all my knowledge with Faerieland and Neopia as a whole, and see us all learn and grow together.
Results
Voting concluded at 6 PM NST on September 28th. Although final results were not formally announced until the following day, the tallies were viewable instantly as the results page featured live tracking of votes.
The winning candidates for the new Faerie Council were Jhudora, Iridesia, Aethia, Illusen, Adelita, and Seshatia. However, in a shocking (well, not really) twist, Jhudora declined her nomination to the council, allowing Naia to take the final place.
Fun fact! A total of 293,901 votes were cast. If each participating player used their maximum allotted votes (13), this means over 22,608 Neopians participated!
