Neopets offers many perks and goodies to incentivize and reward long-time players of the site, from an exclusive NC Mall shop and discounts in the Hidden Tower. You can keep reading to get more information on those goodies and more!

NC Mall Experienced User Shop

Opened on April 24, 2008, the Elite Boutique was the first real perk that experienced users were able to play with. Users on accounts that were 49 months or older (4+ years) were given access to this special NC Mall shop, where you can purchase items such as the Neopets Circle Background. Unlike other NC items, those from the Boutique (even free ones, such as the Elite NC Mall Third Birthday Goodie Bag) cannot be gifted/traded through the use of Gift Boxes. They're simply too elite!

Hidden Tower Discount

On the third Wednesday of every month, Fyora gives a 3% discount to individuals with accounts that are 60 months or older for all items in the Hidden Tower. We list the discounted prices on our Hidden Tower guide and on active Hidden Tower items in our Item Database.

Unfortunately, this discount does not stack with the 10% discount you might receive from a random event.

TNT have stated that if you have at least one side account old enough to enjoy this perk, you can take advantage of the Hidden Tower discount on that account. However, there are a couple conditions:

1. You may only purchase a discounted item using one account.
2. All funds must come from your main account.

Favourite Games

As an experienced user, you are also able to mark increased numbers of games as being one of your favourites.

Neoboard Titles

NeoTitles show up underneath your username when you post on the Neoboards. You don't need to do anything, they'll automatically show up in your preferences.

Almost Abandoned Attic

Located in a mysterious house in Neovia, the Almost Abandoned Attic is only open to those with accounts over 3 years old. The Attic is essentially an Igloo Garage Sale on steroids, stocking items of rarity 80 to 99. This includes not only items that stock in the main shops, but also special items like map pieces and Petpetpets. Similar to the Kadoatery, the Attic restocks at a specific time interval. If it does not restock at the time when it is predicted to, you'll have to try again at the next interval. Be quick: valuable items move in literally seconds.

Reading Books To Pets

For loyal users, there is a small chance a book won't disappear when you read it to your Neopet. This works for accounts 24 months and older.

Neomail Inbox Space

The maximum size of your Neomail inbox increases with account age. Credit for the table data goes to czarnyolek13, sofia_amrr, kipsie, babyvendetta, black_skull725, and all the Neoboarders who helped to test.

Extra User Lookup Interests

Accounts that are 2 years or older will find that they have extra options to choose from when selecting interests to be displayed on their user lookup. These extras include:

Extra Neofriends Slots

Older accounts are able to see up to seven online Neofriends at a time, while younger accounts are only able to see up to five at a time. The exact age requirement for this perk is unknown at this time.

User Lookup Shields

All users eventually get a shield upgrade for their user lookup. You can find an ordered list of shields in our Image Emporium.

Retired Perks

User-To-User Pet Transfers

For every two years that your account has aged, you were given an additional user-to-user pet transfer to use. (So if your account is 4 years old, you would have three transfers, and if it's 8 years old, you would have five transfers.) This perk was released on March 19th, 2010, but as of December 20, 2021, all transfer limits were eliminated, essentially retiring this perk.

Although transfers are unlimited, your transfer status page will only display your first transfers of the month up to the amount displayed corresponding to account age below. For example, if you have a 17-year-old account and have completed 15 transfers for the month, only the first 9 transfers will be displayed in your log. The log is reset monthly.

Extra Trade Lots

From July 8, 2010, through December 8, 2025, users with accounts 36 months or older are able to have up to 15 trades up at a time at the Trading Post instead of 10.

When the trading post was revamped in December 2025, all users were allowed up to 25 lots by default, regardless of account age.
