We're continuing our monthly tradition: an update on all things new and refreshed last month at Jellyneo!

We've added a search box for "Not Occupy Zone" on our Wardrobe search. For example, you can now look for backgrounds that don't also occupy the foreground! You can find it by opening "More Search Options" towards the bottom of the search pane.

September saw the return of the Faerie Festival!

New this year: Luxinia was at the Faerie Quest hub giving out special quests to promote Faerie Fragments, a special election was held to decide the new Faerie Council, and a "Faerie Pass" was available to earn extra prizes from participating.

After several months of peaceful Donation Drives, Tales of Dacardia once again had its storm-battered island under siege from an inexplicble assailant whom you somehow beat up using omelettes and furniture. We have a guide up covering the mechanics and prizes:

Missed giving my final thoughts about the results of the Faerie Council Election on the initial end day post, but with it mentioned here now is a good as time as any.

So the winners are:

* Jhudora... who, true to her word, rejects the position, tells everyone this is stupid, and leaves saying don't contact her or she'll curse them (which, considering she's saying that to Faeries just as powerful as her, kind of is a hollow threat). Now, while this is in character for Jhudora, once again I gotta ask what was the point of having Jhudora as an option? Like, okay, I could see Fyora at least asking her (maybe moreso to avoid her going "Maleficent" about not being invited), but as soon as she made her intention of not joining clear that should have been the end of it. Having Jhudora here only cemented the perception this wasn't about picking the best council to rule Faerieland but about which Faerie is the most popular (which could have been its own poll not connected to forming the Faerie Council).

So now for the ACTUAL council. And I'm just going to focus on what their position on the council may mean, because afterall that's the point of them having a platform:

* Iridesia (Would like to have Faerieland be more involved providing Neopia help, so sounds like she'll be akin to a Foreign Representative. Now outside of Faerie-related things, Events/Plots in other lands rarely have a Faerie NPC. So maybe we'll start seeing Faerie NPCs pop-up here-and-there as part of the event, maybe even introduction to more Special Faeries (especially for lands which don't have one))

* Aethia (Vows to continue her duty in protecting Faerieland (notably as the general of FL's army) as well as assist in protecting Neopia. I would like this to mean more Battledome stuff being she's the face for the BD. Adding in a Classic Mode, fix Stealing for all weapons (or at least Heavy Robe of Thievery), let us reroll Red Codestone at the Secret Ninja Training School (though a general revamp of Training Schools which base course cost on the Stat # and not Level # would also be nice; maybe also stat redistribution), adjusting/adding more Faerie Abilities, more 1-Player Challengers (maybe even re-introduce a Faerie League), etc.. I could make this an entire BD wishlist so best to move on)

* Illusen (Illusen didn't promise anything, just that Fyora trusted her. If Illusen has a societal interest in anything, being an Earth Faerie, she would focus on the environment. So I guess this would give them a good excuse to focus on more Map Revamps saying FL is now assisting lands doing some slight terraforming. Also maybe focus a bit on Petpets; new Species, Petpets available in more Colours (including new Colours?), maybe revisit that old Petpet Morphing Potion idea, new P3s (would it be going too far to suggest P3 Colours?), maybe revamp of the Petpet Battledome... I think you get the point. Also, being a 50 Level Faerie Quest host, maybe have her reach out to an Air, Fire, Light & Water Faerie to have them set up their own 50 Level Faerie Quests)

* Adelita (Wants to bring a sense of community to Faerieland & Neopia as a whole, so Community Planner. An immediate fun though purely aesthetic idea would have having Soup Kitchens run by different hosts open up in different Neopia lands (maybe producing different soups or focusing on other kinds of food & services? OOH, maybe local mini-Charity Corners?). Going larger scale, maybe helping new Shops open in lands which are missing item categories (Clothing, Books, Toys, Grooming, etc.)? Final idea would be having lands get a feature similar to the Money Tree & Meridell Rubbish Dump)

* Seshatia (The scholar and historian of the group and, along with Aethia, one of Fyora's trusted advisors. She says she'll share her knowledge with all of FL and Neopia, which isn't really much to go on. While I feel she did deserve a spot, in terms of functionality I feel Seshatia would be more of a supportive role, maybe even having her research reveal some secrets which can lead to an Event/Plot. Though I do wonder if maybe they could have her being on the Council be an excuse to do something more with Books. I don't know exactly what, but think more can be done with them aside from being a one-and-done feature (and all additional copies of that book you get are useless to you, either selling, donating, trashing, or putting them in your SDB to rot))

* Naia (Her platform was vague, but being the Rainbow Fountain Faerie, if her being on a Council leads to something many already have similar thoughts. Most obvious, of course, being New Colours. But that just doesn't have to end with Neopets, could expand the concept to creation of new Items (especially Petpets if they don't want Illusen to strictly be in charge of them). And of course there's some wanted updates to the Rainbow Fountain, notably some way to either be able to stack multiple dips or maybe change it to needing a Token Item she awards upon completing her quest. I would also say the Rainbow Fountain would be an ideal place to have a special shop that sell Paint Brushes & Morphing Potions; or could maybe trade a dip/Token for one. Not sure if this would also expand to having some say with the Lab Ray. Though, sorta off tangent, I think would be neat if they could have a Morphing Potions that just changes a Neopet species but not their Colour (and just to make it easy, it won't be allowed to change a Species if it doesn't have the Colour))

So that's our new Faerie Council. It's alright. Obviously the main question is "What are they going to do now?". Is the plan to prioritize stuff around the site (and with Faerieland, kind of skimmed over that, apologies) which vaguely relate to the Faeries on the Council, as I suggested above? I'm going to assume in the future there will be another Faerie Council Election, if so in what frequency do they want it to happen (like I imagine TNT would need to plan out a several year timeline to figure out what projects relating to the Faeries they'd want to do and when)?

I also don't have any major other thoughts on this year's Faerie Festival. Honestly I'm hoping they have an actual Charity Corner sometime in the future, and one that uses the original 5-Items-For-1 system like the originals did (though without Category restrictions). Have a good day everyone!
