fyora is literally the face of faerie fragments and the faerie festival. replacing her is a joke

Does anyone else find it really odd that many people like Jhudora? It's kind of annoying.

Wait, so you don't need to have voted 13 times, just once? I ask because, as far as I understood, to get the top final prizes you had to do the following:

1. Visit the Faerie Festival Hub everyday.
2. Donate the max 300 points everyday. (which, being that's done as part of the hub, I feel requirement 1 is kind of redundant. Had it be something like "watch every story segment" I feel would be at least more understandable).
3. Voted for Faerie Council everyday(?). (Now this one is questionable as you are allowed to hold onto your ballots and submit multiples in one day if you have multiple ballots. Why would they let you do that if doing so disqualifies you from the top final prizes? So I was wondering if the requirement was actually voting with all 13 ballots by the end of the event, not caring exactly when. Though now they're implying you just needed to vote just once? And since they're ending the voting early, should the ballot you get on the last day count even if you get it after voting has closed? Now I'm saying this as someone who use the ballot as soon as I get it and will be able to get & vote with the 13th ballot, so no matter I'm fine. But I can still be concerned for others which will be affected by this, and I'm concerned with the lack of clear rules and/or oversights)
4. Visit the Faerie Quest Hub & get the bonus gift everyday. (Remember, you don't need to do or complete a quest, you only need to visit the Hub and get the bonus gift. The Guaranteed Faerie Quest is just a nice bonus )

I voted for Jhuidah every day...I think a lot of the fun of voting got taken away from lack of changes in standing. Did any faerie change rank after day one?? Maybe some type of elimination rounds next year? At least if they decide to make this only a year-long post, other faeries will get a chance to win!

Omg thanks so much for this post, I almost forgot to donate today for some reason. And yes, vote Nuria!! (even though the winners have been pretty much defined since the first day)

Anyway, I've said it multiple times already, but I'll say it again.

My Top 6:
* Aethia (General of FL's army & one of Fyora's top advisors)
* Seshatia (Scholar & Historian, especially of FL's history, & also one of Fyora's top advisors)
* Kari (Has years of experience in management, organizational, & hosting skills; especially for large events)
* Jhuidah (Runs the Trading Post which has given her economic insights & understanding, making her a top choice as FL's Treasurer)
* Nuria (Has a sort of "Prime Directive" belief concerning FL using its power & influence on other lands, wanting to wield that power carefully and only when absolutely necessary)
* Delina (As a non-malevolent (often called "good") Dark Faerie and prefers engineering over magic, she could provide some unique insights)

Of course, that's because I care about what characters are on the leading council of a major land. This has quickly become just a Faerie Popularity Contest. I think I'll wait until the end to give my thoughts on the final council, especially since Jhudora said she would turn down the position so who knows what's going to become of that (will she turn down the position? If she does will the 7th just be added? Does Jhudora have a say who gets all her nomination?)

Anyway, for how I did my ballots:
* I voted everyday since I knew who I wanted to vote for.
* I voted for Aethia, Kari, Jhuidah, Nuria, & Delina once. Aethia is thankfully positioned to get in no matter what so she doesn't need any more support . Sadly Kari, Jhuidah, Nuria, and Delina are lost causes .
* After that all my other votes have gone to Seshatia who's been holding onto 6th place for dear life, her and Naia separated by about a thousand votes. Don't have anything against Naia, but Seshatia deserves a spot. Though Naia may still end up on the council depending on what Jhudora does.

Naia used to be in 6th, but during the event, her and Seshatia have been switching positions on and off. I think they switched twice before Seshatia started to take off.

Aethia and Illusen have gone between 3rd and 4th as well, but they're top 6, so they were both guaranteed.

I don't think the lower rankings changed at all.

Sabrena is the cutest and I really wish she would have gotten a fair shake!! Her design is so adorable... more Tooth Faerie material pls....

My 'dream' council would be:

Iridesia - I feel it's important to have someone who is cautious/humble, has a broad life experience and can bring something fresh to the council.
Aethia - She is a great protector, and is also close enough to Fyora to be able to maintain continuity.
Delina - Practical skills and an engineering mind, alongside all that experience as a dark faerie.
Seshatia - It's extremely important to have someone as knowledgeable as her! She's an essential resource.
Luxinia - Having what is basically a Betazoid on the council would be so useful.
Adelita - A community-minded project manager like her would be endlessly helpful.

I voted for Illusen but for me Faerieland is not Faerieland without Queen Fyora. I liked Faerieland being in the clouds. I also liked Baelia. I think they should have used a different gray faerie to create Iridesia.

I read that as "an avatar and pizza" and thought "is this an obligatory work pizza party?"

The "fun" part is they already basically indicated that the votes won't matter. In one of the dialogue the characters discuss how perhaps the election isn't the correct way to do things, and that seems like an easy out for TNT to ignore the results entirely.

For the lower rankings, I noticed Luxinia dropped from 9th to 10th place at some point

I hate how I can't tell whether more people are voting for Jhudora because they like Illusen and Jhudora as a duo, or just for the irony of seeing *Jhudora* of all faeries on council.

100% agreeing to the above tooth faerie post and doubling down on it!!! I voted for sabrena every day idc if there was a jhudora landslide

I have been voting for Seshastia to keep her in the council.

I saved my votes for the last day to see how the race ran, but they've all gone to Seshatia.

I think education, history, and research are all very important parts of society, culture, and leadership. I love irl librarians for contributing to these and think Seshatia would make a valuable addition to a council.

...also an extremely selfish, petty reason, BUT: disability rep! 🙌 In irl USA politics, it's difficult for disabled folk to hold political positions unless they're already independently wealthy (holding an office position cuts off your government benefits).

@catriki I saw that dialogue and came to the same conclusion. xD "Oh I see, setting up free rein to do whatever! Cool."

All of that said.... I really love the person on reddit posting an absolutely withering hate campaign on the Healing Springs faerie, lol.

I've been voting for Seshatia and Adelita on alternating days. For years they've kept the people knowledgeable and fed. Seshatia even GIVES YOU NP for finishing her crossword!!! She literally pays to keep the people smart! And Adelita is an angel. Free food for all who need it AND the NP limit for accounts to qualify went up this year with inflation. She gives gifts for donations. These are faeries who care about the people and have years of experience in their roles that they can bring to the table. I'm so serious about them lol.

@nicoleeboo38 aethia and illusen swapped a bit as did nuria and marina, but yeah the top 6 for the most part was set very early. i am bummed so few people are giving marina a vote. she does so much for us for free!!!!!

Not gonna lie, I didn't even realize Marina was in the running until literally just now when I read the comments here 😭😭 I think we've all seen "Sorry, that was the best I could do " a little too much and seen her items in the Shop Wizard for lower prices a little too often for us to have the most positive feelings about her hahaha. But I guess even 3HP for thousands of Neopets every half hour is taxing especially for free.

I actually hope it's going to be another "Spooky Food Contest" situation, where the result is predetermined and pulls the rug from under our feet with a short story element. Like.. they are about to announce Aethia as the winner (come on, she's the only proper candidate people ) and then Fyora storms in with a "Psych! I'm not giving up my throne, you silly people!"

@alessia ahhh thank you! I take my love for Seshatia and Adelita very seriously! Adelita especially kept my Neopets fed after my account was compromised and all my NPs were stolen. I know they're just pixels and it's just a silly little game but I'm grateful she's always there!

the gap is too big to close at this point i fear, but i'm quite proud of everyone who brought nuria from like. 14th place day 1 all the way to 8th! hopefully she'll at least get some expanded lore and new art out of it

If I'm 'forced' to choose a 2nd it would be Illusen, because I love little critters and nature. But Fiora!! SHE'S THE QUEEN FOREVER AND ALWAYS. TNT I don't know what gave you the wild hair to remove our queen for a quarter of a century after her rule, but I blow raspberries at all of you.

I have voted Aethia daily!

I really wanted Nuria to be on the council. I feel like she's not really part of a lot like many of the others are. I mean, there are several Faeries that haven't been used in a long time that I would've loved to see on the council instead of some that have been chosen. I love Jhudora and all, but come on. She and Illusen have been everywhere lately.

I really wanted Nuria to make it, she doesn't get enough attention and her platform is pretty good. The difference with Naia is... big, so I have no hopes, but Jhudora will probably resign, which means that the 7th place would probably be in the council too. I also would have liked to have Jhuidah in there.

And I don't get why Naia has so many votes. Iridesia basically has the same values/platform as her but better, and it's not like she's going to give us free dips

@puffkins2000 I totally agree! This was our chance to put other fairies in the spotlight. Kaia was my best option in all this, she can literally see into the future and have knowledge of events or situations beforehand. Luxinia, Iridesia, Seshatia, Jhudora and Illusen have been everywhere lately.

i've been voting for nuria because i had no memory of ever seeing this character before and think she looks neat! i'd love for some of the less-developed faeries to get a bit more lore & screentime. i'm surprised so many people are voting for iridesia, i'm pretty sick of them after so many years of the plot haha.

I'm surprised so many here are upset about the results so far as if any of it matters.

I can't be the only one who is getting a little tired of Jhudora and Illusen being shoved together. This enemies-to-lovers story is getting so old and tired.

ABSOLUTE travesty that Taelia wasn’t even nominated to run. Guess she is happy chilling up on Terror Mountain, only having to see the family at Christmas. Mood.

@dave - What have I missed? Has Luxinia said she's going to ignore the vote? Not cool!! I guess I should read all the event text, but ADHD keeps me clicking through, and I miss things...

All my votes have been going to Seshatia, for all the same reasons others here have stated, but if she wasn't under constant threat of dropping off the council via the votes, I would have chosen to give my votes to Nuria as well. I find her intriguing. We've seen so much of the others, but almost nothing of her. I would love to see her more active and involved, and to learn more about her. Plus her platform is up my alley.

I assumed Frank would automatically be given a seat, considering he's our exalted leader! It is only just and right! So say we all!

@dave omg it would be sooo neopets for the happiness faerie to stuff the ballot box last minute and get elected to the faerie council lol. ideal scenario is no one recognizes him and everybody just carries on like normal... give the happiness faerie an office in faerie city!!

I voted once for Jhudora and illusen, I’ve been voting for nuria everyday since! Happy to see her get up to 8th ! Would love if they expanded the seats to 8 but also wouldn’t be surprised if they expanded to 10 to get luxinia in there

Jhudora for the win! She’s been my favorite faerie since I first joined Neopets! So misunderstood in my opinion ❤️ I def put every vote I had for her and it was intentional! Her colors were also the inspiration for my wedding colors too. So, yeah, my vote for her was intentional ❤️ would have liked to Naia do better given the amount of pets she has changed colors of through the years, but Seshatia will do awesome as well! Plus more representation for disabled individuals I feel ❤️❤️

Just a reminder to those about why Jhudora's leading: it's not that people necessarily like her as a faerie and want her to be on the council; it's a protest vote. Since she said she's not going to take the seat if offered, people are using a vote for her to express to TNT how much we dislike how the whole Faerie Festival has been run, as well as other issues.

So I started putting all my votes with Naia. Like, she has a RAINBOW FOUNTAIN. Simply stunning.

Been voting for Nuria since day one, she looks so cool and I wanna see more of her. I always knew Jhudora would rank #1 whether it's "protest" or simply because she's popular, but I was really hoping Nuria would at least land #6 :/

Oh, I thought people were voting for Jhudora out of spite/schadenfreude towards her, and I was all for it lol.

I really wish this was the sort of thing where the user base actually has a say in the direction of Neopets lore, but I'm still expecting the election to be a bait and switch since I don't think TNT would give that much control to the players when they may very well have future lore planned out a bit.

I find it kind of lame jhudora got top vote when she didn't even want on the council, my top 6 are on except for 2 which jhudora and illusen replaced, in no specific order.

Adelita (for her experience with the less fortunate)
Luxinia (for her empathic abilities)
Jhuidah (for her economic knowledge)

Glad to see in the comments some other people recognized the last 2 at least. I also feel like illusen doesn't have a whole lot going for her, and if her AND jhudora were on the council they'd just continually cancel out eachothers votes and bicker.

Welp I saved all my votes for the last day but apparently they closed early! I guess it in the FAQ but would it have been hard to have the deadline posted on the tab for voting?

And Fyora "will be back" at some point. Please don't tell me we have to go through another plot where we follow her in her footsteps all across Neopia, watching how she talks to Neopians TNT forgot existed until they needed something to tickle our nostalgia..

democracy wins the day, I guess... that's funny about Jhudora, I didn't know that people were voting for her out of protest lol. I wish Illusen would abdicate, she bores me. I had to show my water faeries some love of course, but I also voted for Nuria and Seshatia.

@koduh: Related to voting there was a stamp and an avatar. I don't know if either of those is related to using all your votes, or using them on the day of release or whatever, but those were the prizes I received.

I voted for Marina everyday, she's helpful all the time, and I think she kinda gets overshadowed by Naia (which I like too, actually. Guess I have a soft spot for water faeries :p). In my opinion, Marina is on pair with Adelita for their daily help, and both should be there.
