The Darkest Faerie Stamp Available

UPDATE, September 17th: TNT have added a new stamp to the Glimmering Pass of the Faerie Festival, Swordmaster Talek Stamp, to make up for the devaluation the Random Event has caused. Today's Release Notes update clarifies the situation:

On September 16, 2026 - The Darkest Faerie video game hub page was temporarily disabled due to increased server traffic. The Random Event on that page was a limited-time mechanic for the ACMI Player Night and has been disabled now that the ACMI event has concluded.
We recognise that the overall value of the Glimmering Track in Faerie Festival has been affected by this Random Event and has added an additional stamp reward into the track at 2125 points for balance.

UPDATE, 10:45 PM: The Darkest Faerie page has been wiped, and now just states: "This page is no longer available." with a link back to the Neopets homepage.

In an interesting twist this morning, it's been discovered that you can receive The Darkest Faerie Stamp by refreshing the the very old PlayStation 2 Darkest Faerie video game hub.

The event will appear at the top of the page, like so:

Notably, this item is part of the paid Glimmering Pass in this year's Faerie Festival. TNT hasn't made any comment on the matter yet.

@gamergirl33119: My guess is that it was once supposed to drop from here, but the stamp was never activated properly, and therefor the random event never triggered. Now that they're giving the stamp away as a prize in the latest Faerie Festival, that also caused the random event to be activated.. somehow. Spaghetti~!

Mindlessly mashed F5 equivalent while trying to work one-handed, got one sometime around 11:30. Can confirm you don't need to let the page load fully.

TNT's re/simultaneous-RRing of the same items is becoming comical, although it's especially egregious to dangle this stamp as an incentive to sell a NC item (lbr, the stamp was the highest-demand NP item on it) then drop it for free to anyone willing to create site lag. Surprised bots haven't taken down the site yet.

Crazy that TNT keeps pushing money grabs for a site that 1) clearly doesn’t function right, and 2) no effort was even put into the Faerie Festival at all. Which was clear from the Faeries blurb about only donating 30 items a day (wrong) and the FAQs being copy/pasted from Altador cup about the free battlepass for premium (which was also wrong).

^ The stamp was released in 2025 in the sense we all learned about it then, but I think it _is_ possible the art and item data existed long ago and it was just no one triggered receiving it, since spam-refreshing an extremely old trailer page is not a common user activity (or some recent code update inadvertently enabled a drop set up long ago)

Fair to think the art and item existed ages ago (the art does look dated), though I think it would've been discovered sooner if it were active sooner, even on an old, obscure page. Bots and stuff hit random pages all the time, and users may legitimately hit random old pages looking for other things (new avatar solutions, mystery pic, doing a history dive, whatever). It feels too coincidental that it should be discovered now, after it's re-released via NC track, if it were active earlier.

Yeah I'm not doing this and risking getting frozen. Especially since it's supposed to be a prize for the PAID game pass, meaning it's most likely NOT supposed to be able to be obtained for free. Getting it for free leaves little reason to even buy the pass, yeah?

It probably reactivated or something when TNT made the stamp available again for the paid pass. They probably are unaware that it's even available this way now. Cause I mean... we know this TNT likes getting money. Why would they knowingly add the stamp to the paid pass and let it be available for free? Lol.

Be careful ya'll. It's not worth risking your accounts over if TNT realizes and decides this will eat into their potential profits with the paid pass. This could affect their revenue coming in - and it's not the same as getting a stamp that would ONLY affect the Neo-economy - this could affect their actual real world money they would get from the pass.

I'm recommending opening new tabs (even better: doing it in a new window to close them all at once) and refreshing the inventory from time to time to see if you got it.
It's waaaaaay less painful than constantly refreshing one tab (unless you have an extension to do it for you as billiethegoat said).

@dracyoola - the RE is very specifically for this one stamp and from what I gather from JN's item database, it was never obtained through a random event / from that specific page previously, just and only from a goodie bag. It's also a random event, which means getting them isn't even a freezable offense. TNT will most likely just switch the old stamp to a new one.

@wheewhoo: If I recall correctly, this stamp was an unreleased item that was only activated by the new TNT in 2025, meaning, the new TNT didn't make it. It is plausible that the old TNT designed the random event at that page, but the random event couldn't activate because the stamp was unreleased. In 2025, when the new TNT activated the stamp, the random event became live but was only discovered today. That is my theory.

Dracyoola + it was never an RE before so it can't have been reactivated because it was never a thing. That's what everyone is explaining. It was not possible to obtain through a random event before. There's no way activating it for a pass would also put it in the RE pool and it's also only happening on that page. That seems pretty intentional from TNT

Ruffle or the absence of Flash are irrelevant. REs are server-side. Flash is client-side. You guys don't need to worry about that.

For the people who bought the Battle Pass because of the stamp, send a ticket to TNT requesting a refund. I don't know if it's going to work, but it's worth a try. It's their mistake, they're the ones who have to pay for it.

@coryldork i think they will still say its worth the cost based on the few nc items. the 175 nc witch should not be there just make the pass that much cheaper, the brush 600 nc and the sling shot. and i think the doll ahs sold for quite a bit in the past but with crash hard since its not used like the stamp. and all the new items.

I gave up on refreshing last night and bought one on the TP for 4m just as a hedge in case they disabled it... but I woke up and got it myself after ~50 refreshes, so it is still active as of ~20:00 NST, it just takes a while!! Now I have one in my album and one in my SDP, ha.

Yeah, that was one of their two options. It was either: Disable the random event in whatever way they could think of OR offer a different reward for that one tier in the paid pass. So naturally they chose the most unfortunate route XD It's unfortunate such a relic of the past no longer exists though. A flash animation promoting a PS2 game? What other website can say they had a page like that?

It's insane how fast they were all bought up after the page was deleted. What a crazy event for TNT to have to deal with, since it was part of the pass that REQUIRED a purchase to access.
I'm not sure what else they should do at this point, if they do anything at all. Since they're getting swiped up and re-inflated after being mass-generated with the activated RE, I'm not sure swapping it out fully would be the right call, especially since they barred it from Premium members this time. Maybe just add the Fyora Metallic Stamp to the paid track at a lower point total? Seems like a disaster all around.

The real reason they took the page down is likely because they don't want thousands of people (and inevitably bots) refreshing thousands of times. It puts strain on the servers.

On September 16, 2026 - The Darkest Faerie video game hub page was temporarily disabled due to increased server traffic. The Random Event on that page was a limited-time mechanic for the ACMI Player Night and has been disabled now that the ACMI event has concluded.

@cuddlytoaster I think Jellyneo made the right decision in this instance.

There had already been threads up about it on the Neoboards and offsite for several hours before it was posted here.

Any blame should be squarely on TNT for causing the problem and not having mechanisms in place to put it right sooner; and to some extent also on the sizeable minority of people who were using and/or advocating the use of illicit methods to improve your chances of getting the stamp (ie. autorefreshers and browser extensions that refresh multiple tabs at once). Those, at least in the past, used to be highly freezable exploits.

It was an obvious bug, people exploited it, TNT fixed it without mass freezing the remaining dwindling userbase still willing to play on their site with all the constant screw ups and miscomms, and admitted the oversight on their part + added a new high-value stamp to the pass.

That's as good as it gets - the pepple who happened to be available for the exploit were "lucky", no more no less. This was never intentional.

And I'm saying this as one of the "users who complain about literally everything". You're the "user who demands everything be given to them".

The claim that this was a glitch or an exploit is ridiculous. Any "random" event on Neopets that offers the same reward to everyone is an intended feature of the site that was added by their team. Just because they didn't turn it off when they intended to doesn't mean everyone refreshing the page to get the stamp is taking advantage of anything. They're playing the site as it was designed to be used, so it would be INSANE to punish anyone for that (of course that doesn't include bot refreshing). In any case, TNT should check their bases more. And put the page live again.

Which ambassador would forward issues about this to TNT? It's really not acceptable for them to have allowed people to get multiples while others got nothing after several hours of refreshing. It isn't okay for people to have been using auto-refreshers to get one, but those that used it to get multiples now profit heavily. It's very unbalanced and frustrating, and they should add the stamp to the general/public track of the pass.
