Draik Day Roundup

Posted by Zelda on September 9, 2026, 6:31 pm NST

In honour of Draik Day, a new colour has been released at the Rainbow Pool:

Oil Paint

If you plan on creating an Oil Paint Draik, check out our Modeling page, as we'll need your help!

Or, get in the mood for spooky season with a new alchemist outfit, stocking at Prigpants & Swolthy:

Haunted Woods Alchemist Draik

A black recolour of the Draik Boxer Gloves from Draik Day 2013 is also available at Uni's Clothing.

There are also several new items available from varying shops that Neopets of any species can enjoy:

And, last but not least, you can pick up a Moon Draik outfit from the NC Mall's latest pet day capsule, along with a new NP background from Mystical Surroundings to go with. And, for the first time ever, the pet day capsules are also available in bundles of 5 or 10! The 5-capsule bundle includes 1 additional free capsule, and the 10-bundle includes 3 bonus capsules.

I love the Moon Dragon Draik capsule but I don't think I like the oil paint color. The rest of the stuff is nice though <3

Are we sure the new background will restock at Mystical Surroundings? in the news, it says it will restock at Unis Clothing Shop, but it would make a lot more sense to restock at the BG shop...

Ya'll should know better than to trust anything TNT labels in the News... Search for the item yourself on the site, then click the See if it's in Stock! button and that will take you to the shop it actually restocks from, which is indeed Mystical Surroundings.

I like that oil paint colour for the draik a lot, but it doesnt really seem oil painty enough.
by slayer_49 on September 9, 2026 7:32 PM NST
Thanks for the reminder!

Ginko? Rabbits? They can't bother naming items properly.
by stormmonarch on September 9, 2026 8:21 PM NST
Anyone else think that adorable draik looks like cloud color?
by samaanthag on September 9, 2026 8:24 PM NST
I thought it was Camouflage at first
by spotter001 on September 9, 2026 9:01 PM NST
i love the oil paint, but yes i also thought it was camo at first. xD

@stormmonarch
i get the rabbit thing - that's pretty weird, esp since snowbunnies are so widely known as a petpet. but what's wrong with calling them ginkgo leaves? is there a neo equivalent idk about? /g
by inkpot on September 9, 2026 10:31 PM NST
oh-- nvm about the "ginko leaves"
...answered that one myself didn't i? XD

(sorry for the double post)
by inkpot on September 9, 2026 10:33 PM NST
@inkpot: I think the complaint worked. They changed the names for both items
by stormmonarch on September 9, 2026 10:59 PM NST
Holy crap, they gave us a new pet outfit that is actually broken up into its individual parts? And it's an NP set?

🤯

Fancy Cloudâ„¢

Not that I'm complaining, still looks cool.
by xxstarl1ghtxx on September 10, 2026 12:08 AM NST
Those snowbunnies are such helpful assistants in the apothecary.
by peri on September 10, 2026 1:25 AM NST
I like the mid autumn festival theme
by neodressup on September 10, 2026 1:47 AM NST
I would buy the capsule if the Alchemist outfit would be in it. There is already a similar outfit to the Moon Dragon one. Not my cup of tea.

Cloudy With A Chance of Draik Droppings? Gives new meaning to "meatballs".

The colors are nice, the patterns have a bit of fun, like with the blue tail tip.

The snout and wing are too muddled together for my eyes to register the shapes clearly. Even if it were Camo, I'd like to be able to see my Pet's face.

I could use a couple of the outfit pieces on my own Draik, so I'm happy about those!

Also happy to have canon Snowbunnies used in Neopets.

Happy Draik day!

Just here to shout how much I **HATE** mystery capsules!
by spicylife on September 10, 2026 12:03 PM NST
LOVE the oil paint color, although I think it would have been better if it was camouflage. Especially considering how awful the actual cammo draik color is. I'm seriously tempted to paint my draik oil paint.

I agree the face looks muddy, but that's nothing the vampire costume paint can't fix!

Love the mid-autumn festival theme, too. Absolutely losing my mind over that NP BG.
by neolodgeism on September 10, 2026 1:41 PM NST
I love the oil paint color, it's the first oil paint option I would actually consider using!
by larimar on September 10, 2026 5:34 PM NST
Actually quite like the oil paint- though it looks more like indigo dyed fabric to me. Or maybe Picasso Blue Period?

At least they are still giving a nice NP wearable to go with the NC cap.
