Neo York RSVP Rewards + Survey

If you had RSVP'ed to the Neo York event, check your inboxes! You should find an email recapping the event, along with a unique Rare Item Code that you may redeem at Grundo Warehouse for a Jeran Action Figure.


The email also includes a link to a survey to share your thoughts, both if you attended—or did not attend—and asks for suggestions on future pop-up locations. If you enter your Neopets username on the first page, another (currently unknown) freebie will be sent to your Neopets account:

Anyone else getting an error message when trying to use their code in the email?

So they're surveying exclusively the people interested in the pop-up in NYC... on where they should have pop-ups??? Definitely no sampling bias there at all.

You are able to answer if you didn't attend, you just have to say that you RSVP'd (I don't remember what the RSVP system was like but I don't think I did RSVP. I answered anyway because I would go to one if it weren't in a HUGE city...) Would it make sense for them to ask people who AREN'T interested in RW events about where RW events should be?

Here's the text that appears at the end of the survey: "That's it. Thank you for showing up for a website you loved a very long time ago. We are reading every single answer, including the unhinged ones, especially the unhinged ones. Your free item will be sent to your inventory along with a Neomail when the survey closes!"

Didn’t even receive any email related to the RSVP thing lol… But I didn’t attend anyway so that’s reasonable.

I also suspect they know that we'd be posting and distributing the link to a wider audience. I wouldn't be surprised if it made the new features at some point, too.

I also got an error code but the item was in my inventory when I checked after the error.

As soon as I cleared space in my inventory it worked (with the white error page), before that I was getting an invalid error not the white page and it wasnt in my inventory

it's worth noting that they didn't specifically ask about suggestions on WHERE to host more pop-ups, just asking for general suggestions on future pop-ups / events.

I RSVP'd but didn't get any email... but Shopify DID send me a spammy email 3 days ago, "Coming up at Shopify NY: A Y2K party, FoundHER Summit, and more"...

I rsvp'd but didn't attend. The email was in my spam folder. Interestingly, my code gave me a Wind Up Zombie Aisha, not Jeran

I encountered the same error when entering the code I received via email. However, upon completing the survey, I received the Jeran AF at the end—even though I answered that I hadn't attended (since I'm in another country...)

Yeah it doesn't seem intended for those who didn't make an attempt to show up. It would be nice to give some feedback about where they should go next but I don't want to muddy the data

Bummer, I didn't rsvp because I knew there was no way I was going to make the trek to nyc. I will, however, travel basically anywhere on the Western half of the US for the next pop-up.

It should not matter what you put in the survey whether you get the item or not, I put the code in without completing the survey and still received the jeran action figure. Also it doesn't matter if you attended or not, I RSVP'd and knew I would not be making it and still received the item

@sacados I guess you just pick one and lie. Maybe there's a text entry at the end of the survey where you can point out that you were forced to lie about question 2 in order to give the valid feedback that the survey was claiming to ask for.

On the other hand, TNT never seem to pay much attention to people's responses to their surveys anyway. They've seemed like PR exercises rather than genuine feedback harvesting. Then it devolved into 'would you like this paid feature nobody asked for to come in blue or pink?'. I guess they're interested in how many people respond so they can give those stats to their investors to show how popular the site is. I gave up on taking those surveys ages ago.

Check your spam folder for the email, that's where mine was. Also, delete the dashes when you copy and paste the code, then it should go through without an error.
