New Soup Kitchen Avatar

A new avatar has appeared around the site, reportedly after donating at the Soup Kitchen!


The exact requirements are unknown, but possibly related to donating a certain amount of Neopoints for a certain number of days, which might explain why we haven't seen it before today despite the Soup Kitchen getting an update back on August 12.

We also started seeing items being randomly awarded from the Soup Kitchen starting on August 25.

Random when getting a prize after donating 50k per day during 14 days. That's my bet at least, I got a book after donating for 14 days but did not get the avatar.

I got it today with:

- a 5k donation
- a 2 day streak
- 17 distinct days of donating (with streak breaks)
- 24 distinct donations in amounts varying from 5k-50m
- 104.166m total donated
- No other prizes won

still nothing,

just the first avatar after 18 times (5k) when it released

Now if donating to the Soup Faerie was something I cared about, this would be neat. But why waste money on nothing, not even other Neopians, if I can waste it on myself? XD

apophis, it's called a np sink, and people will definitely do it for avs as we've seen with many other np sink avs (and for the prizes i suppose)

if the odds of this are like the odds of the sandcastle avatar i think i will start throwing rocks at fyoras window panes. i know fyora has nothing to do with this i just want to cause her some property damage.

Just got the avatar by continuously donating 5k. Received it on the 16th consecutive donation.

Just did 100 donations of 5k and got nothing. I've been donating 10k every day since this went live, have never gotten anything from it.

I got the original Soup Faerie Avatar - after a final desperate fling of 100K a few days ago ... hate to think how much I donated! Haven't got a prize yet though.
