Just to let you know, the Collectable Charm is a premium bonus prize. Nothing to do with collecting the cogs on release day.

I was going to say - I collected all the cogs on the day and didn't get the charm. But I don't have premium.

Yes, a lot of people on the boards have been very confused this morning.

I've seen premium members get it who say they missed 3 days of the event. No non-premiums have been awarded one. Clearly it's meant as a premium only prize.

Ah, they gave another exclusive collectible that's never going to return because it's too topical to premium subscribers? That's the kind of thing we love about TNT, right? After all.. that is the only reason they keep doing that.. right? Because we love it! ^^;

TNT doing things like giving out premium only prizes reminds me why I'm happy to pay for premium.

I found all my cogs on the right days and they were checked off on the hub page. I did the last day, August 20th, a few times and I got no pop up and it still is faded out on the hub page with "check back for this hint" or something along those lines. But it also has a green checkmark next to it... I didn't get any final prize pop up from the hub today. Anyone else having this issue?

i totally ignored this too because i thought the whole event had nc tied to it if you are reading this news today there's still time to get all cogs at once to get the avatar if you completely ignored this on purpose thinking it was a nc event like me

I forgot to visit one of the locations so I wouldn't have qualified... a lot of hurdles with resellers and what not. Eventually paid 10m to get one.

@apophis324 I might be wrong, I believe some of the advent calendar stamps that were given to premium members eventually made their way to a later event (the Neopies?) for f2p players. Hopefully this will be the same, sooner or later.

I don't like only Premium players get an item final prize, especially something as valuable as a collectible.

Indeed, I'm not saying Base Experience players didn't get anything.
First off I consider the Nigel prizes as something separate as you didn't need find a Wondercog to get it, just visit the page and click on him. All fine and dandy, everyone got a unique prize while Premium got a bonus item.
As for collecting the Wondercogs, well, say I'm spoiled from past events, but if you're a Base Experience players not interested in NC you pretty much got nothing. Avatars are a nice award but I consider them more as mementos that your participated in the event. If anything they're a reminder you participated in the event (since these are the kind of Avatars I feel would later on be allowed to be won from the Wheel or Celebration or some other way to get retired Avatars). And I'm not asking for something equally as valuable as a collectible. If it was up to me, I would have have made 3 Item Prizes: One for participating (aka getting at least one Wondercog), another for getting all the Wondercogs, and finally the Premium Bonus prize. For the participation prize I would have made it a Wondercog wearable, something your Neopet either holds (or has next to them if they don't have hands). For getting all the Wondercogs, if it's not the collectible, then how about a book, like "Wonderclaw: A Gripping Grappling Guide".

Im so glad this wasn’t a grab it on the day itself kind of thing. Im flying out tomorrow for a weeklong holiday and I missed like three on the days because I am so busy.

Otherwise, it was a nice quick event. I like seeing the character interactions.

* We learn Bigsby is friends with Nigel, Donny, & Tangor (the latter two also friends with Nigel).
* Tangor and Vere Polnicek was siblings (does that mean Tangor's last name is also Polnicek?).
* Tangor's workshop is air conditioned and Vere serves tea to customers.
* The Maraquan Grarrl behind the bait stall in the Ye Olde Fishing Vortex is named Irving Finnegan and he seems to have any pole/bait for the occasion.

Also nice to see Nigel get some more character, even if its mostly a caricature of an always dealing-and-yielding businessman (he's at least nice enough and surprisingly genre savvy).

In the end it was an okay small event, a good enough ad for the Neo York campaign.

TNT should disable the buy-it-now feature, it's being abused by resellers. Otherwise this stamp would've dropped below 8m a few hours after its release.

I'm SO glad I wasn't the only person who ignored the event because they thought it was an NC-only thing lol. I felt stupid like omg was I the only one not in on this but this comment section made me feel better haha. I confirm that the avatar can still be obtained by finding all the wondercogs as of now. I also got the final widget prize. No premium so I can't confirm anything on that front.

Hopefully wonderclaw is working for everyone else because the only machine it would let me pick was the retro one earlier and I didn't realize :/

OMG!!!!! This means the two backgrounds - Sock Hop Diner Background and Outdoor Cinema Background are finally working! I have never actually seen the outdoor bg on my pet page until now! I never knew it was so cool!

Only one prize and its a premium exclusive album item, because of course it is

@wallflowerwendy, I had the same issue with the greyed out checkmark. It was not clear but I had to click through the entire final conversation between Nigel and Bigsby, and then at the end you should receive your prize(s).

I hope the handful of people that actually buy premium compared to the overall amount of players that play and don't or just can't afford premium can support this joke of a site. As a 25 year player I'm becoming more and more frustrated and disenchanted with this site and both of its side game apps. There's no accounting for loyalty or participation anymore. It's just buy buy buy and you win! Maybe there are people who simply don't have the money to keep dumping into a site that awards fake items for real money and the avvie are the same you don't get anything special unless you pay for it. Very displeased about this. Buying merch and such was never a feature you could make NP off of when Neopets was owned by Donna & Adam.

Nigel gave me a Neo York Slice Handheld and Punk Rocker Hot Dog as dailies today. I'm a premium member..

oh my gosh, i'm so stupid, i just realized TODAY that this wasn't an NC event and I'd been skipping it because i knew i couldn't participate if it was NC. Did anyone else do the same thing??
