The Neopets Companion App has received an update yesterday.
Special Shops Added
The update adds in an assortment of special shops:
- Almost Abandoned Attic
- Ever Stocked General Store
- Hidden Tower
- Igloo Garage Sale
- Tarla's Shop of Mystery
A small quality-of-life improvement has been added to the Igloo Garage Sale and Almost Abandoned Attic: a counter to display how many items of your daily limit you have already purchased.
Restocking Updates
Restocking in the Companion App no longer uses any visible or interactive captchas when restocking. Instead, if you re-enter a shop too many times too quickly, you will receive an in-app restock ban of sorts. When this happens, you will be unable to open any shop (even the new special ones)!
The exact mechanics are unclear, but is somewhere around 2-3 re-entries within a 5-6 second period. Slower paced re-entry does not appear to trigger the block. The block lasts for a few minutes. Restock bans on the Companion App and on Neopets.com continue to be unrelated to each other.
Prior to this app update, the Companion App used the classic "Neopetchas" for restocking, even after the main site replaced them.
