Tales of Dacardia New Chapter Update

Yesterday, Tales of Dacardia released an app update. This update launches a brand new chapter for the game, and a new login calendar has begun ahead of another donation event.

New Login Calendar
A new login calendar begins today. It has 14 days of prizes and is themed around Usukicon.

Captain QuickFinger's New Stock
Captain QuickFinger has returned with a restock of Usuki themed items. This stock will be available through September 6.

Upcoming Event
Another Donation Drive event is set to begin on Monday, August 17, lasting for 15 days through August 31. We'll have the exact confirmed details on our event guide when it goes live on Monday, but it will be themed around Usukicon like the login calendar.

New Chapter
For those who have completed the story up to this point there is new story content available. This begins with a quest from Lania and involves building a new gathering point, a new minigame, some new decorations, and introducing a new character to the island, Cora. As part of this quest chain, you will be able to upgrade your island and clear an additional piece of rubble in the northwest of the screen, close to the entrance to where Mystic Jungle was in Island Builders.

As part of the update, the pool off earnable Pearly Neggs has been increased. This appears to be tied to the number of chapters you have completed, meaning after finishing the new questline, you will have a pool of 130 Pearly Neggs instead of the old 100.

Note that this update also introduces new daily quests from Cora, and a new daily quest for playing the new minigame at Cannon Cove. There are two versions of this quest that can appear, and one of them is broken. The broken one will be telling you to get "at least 3 stars while playing a mini-game at the Pirate Dock". As this is the name of the gathering point rather than the game's location, it cannot be completed at present.

Aaaand my farm is broken and I don't seem to be able to interact with it beyond tapping the check mark (which was way to the right of it) to get what was already there.

I do not even look at Quickfinger anymore It seems to basically be P2P. Over priced for how I save on the pearls. Its insane. If I played all day every day maybe but I open the app like once or twice.

@arktus mine is too. If you click around over to the right in the general area the check mark was in, you may be able to click the farm and start a new gather.

@lunawolfin351 - Go to the store/pearly parlour > click on the third to last icon on the bottom marked "Town Customisation (shrub+paint plate icon)(in between food shop and pet items) > Cannon Cove should be your second item for 5k. Make sure you confirm it's Cannon Cove and NOT Crabby Arena!!

Anyone else having a glitch where it told me I would need to pay for cannon cove but never actually gave me the option to do so and then moved on as if I had? And now it's telling me to place Cannon Cove but I don't have the blueprints because it never actually let me buy them....but is acting like I did....

Side note if anyone else is having the issue where the farm is broken and you cannot use it, the fix is to go through the town planner menu-journal-encyclopedia-buildings-gather points then click on the farm and click go and it will let you use the farm even though the actual place is broken

For everyone whose farm broke: going through the journal (town planner icon in the bottom right corner -> journal -> buildings -> gather points -> Furtive Farm ) rather than clicking the farm from the overworld fixed it for me; it no longer looks dilapidated and I'm able to gather there normally again, but it breaks again once the app is reset.

I get the frustration with the update on the game (and I’m not paying 5k pearly neggs myself) or it not working properly for you, but Jellyneo team has absolutely 0 to do with any decision making on anything to do with neopets.

It’s just a site to help you navigate the game/s in the neopets universe, so if you feel like venting, by all means do so if it helps you, but nothing you say in comments here will ever reach the people who could actually change it to your liking. You’re better off making a ticket or sending feedback in game or on neopets.

Well, that was rather underwhelming. I did all the new quests, built the Cannon Cove with the last of my pearly neggs, and ranked up to 4. Rubble was uncovered to reveal...sand and a jungle-ish entry that you can't enter.

@thrixxy the guide is updated, we just had the wrong link. the correct shop is and has been in the dropdown sorter on that page, we just were quick linking to an old one in this post. it's fixed now

Here is the solution if you update your game and find Furtive Farm in ruins and not working:

Click on TOWN PLANNER
Click on JOURNAL
Click on BUILDINGS
Click on the PLANT symbol
Click on the picture of the FARM
Click on GO

It will take you to the newly repaired farm and hopefully all should work as normal.

Accidentally crafted the sails before the cannons - now the Cannon Cove isn't appearing in the build menu and the icon for the area is unclickable. Oh and the farm is broken. Nice, nice, nice. Sigh.

To add to my previous comment - here is a solution to fix FURTIVE FARM but the glitch is still fighting back - you have to redo this sequence of events EVERY TIME you want to use the farm to collect ingredients!

Here's the solution to at least get it going:

Click on TOWN PLANNER
Click on JOURNAL
Click on BUILDINGS
Click on the PLANT symbol
Click on the picture of the FARM
Click on GO

AND EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO USE THE FARM REPEAT!

I'm not spending 5k on this which I dont have anyway. This game is only useful for website rewards. The pearly neggs only good use is to auto complete collecting materials to exchange for event points.

I'm still having the issue where the game says my Neopass is account is linked, but claims my NeoPETS account is not, and when I try to link it claims that Neopets account is already link to a Decardia account, so I can't get my rewards on site.

Does anyone know if they've fixed the uninstall/instgall issue, where it would erase all your progress? Cause that's the only thing I haven't tried cause I started having this issue at the same time that issue cropped up.

^ After 2 months of not getting rewards, I was told by more knowledgeable users that 1) they fixed the losing all-progress-from-start issue but 2) you do lose all progress since your account unlinked itself if you reinstall. Since there is no solution to relink other than reinstalling, I have to recommend you bite it like me and reinstall if you want any future rewards :/

So one of my BBB quests today is to get at least 3 stars playing a mini-game at the Pirate Dock. Unfortunately, Pirate Dock is a gathering point, not a game. The actual game, Cannon Cove, does not fill this quest. So I guess I forfeit my quest for today.

I will say the cannon game is way more "fun" than the yooyu game... which isn't fun at all and takes forever with all the loading screens. This game is MUCH quicker to get through which I'm happy about because I don't enjoy this app. 5k was a steep price tag though.
