August #NEOPETS Contest Announced

The portal blog for the #NEOPETS Contest was quietly updated earlier today with the August theme and submission form.


This month's theme is "Welcome to Neo York!". Submissions are open through or August 31st at 11:59 NST.

As a reminder, social media account is not required to participate, although the submission form for contest requires a Google account.


Winners of this month's contest will be announced by September 10th, and receive the #NEOPETS Contest Winner avatar and trophy. No item prizes will be handed out at this time.

I.... don't care anymore. Too many avatars, and made the trophy for the most avatars meaningless. Turns out when you flood and over-saturate the landscape, people lose interest, that's how how you kill interest in avatars. Rememmber when they were "secret avatars"? Turned a nostalgic 2000's browser game into a sh*t-eating modern mobile app game. Btw the rate they're churning out these wearables isn't human. Like literally.

I hand drew an entry but the winners for last time were epic artists and am I definitely not *lol* still gotta be in it to possibly win it

we're halfway through august and they're only just now announcing the theme? forget this whole contest and tnt's attempts to push their userbase onto something as toxic as social media

TNT just showcases the winners on their socials (or has the right to)

Good luck to the winners. Fingers crossed no AI but... when TNT themselves are using it for wearables it's almost like, wtf are we doing at this point? Good faith n all that unless it makes less money.

Why even bother? Last time, they gave TWO awards to one person for nearly identical submissions, and a bunch of the other awards just HAPPENED to go to former staff and community ambassadors. I'm not going to waste my time making art for a competition I know is rigged.
