Soup Kitchen Updated

UPDATE: We have confirmed the Soup Faerie avatar is now available via donating. This avatar was first released in 2003, and prior to today was only available when feeding your pet. Preliminary reports suggest it is randomly awarded when donating a minimum of 5,000 NP. (If you receive it from less than 5,000 NP, please let us know!)

Today, the Soup Kitchen has been updated. This was recently teased in the July newsletter.

The maximum amount of Neopoints you may have before being able to claim free soup has been raised from 3,000 NP to 100,000 NP.

A new feature has also been added—donating! The page suggests "the Soup Faerie may even have some treats for generous donors".

If you donate and receive a reward of some kind, please let us know in the comments what you received, and how much you spent! We have already confirmed the Soup Faerie avatar is available, but it is unknown if there are any additional prizes. This is not a new avatar, but rather a new way to obtain an existing one.

Page source references a mechanism for clearing user "donation + streak," and the user-end update mail says she may reward people who "stay consistent in their kindness."

My theory is that prizes are pegged to specific streak milestones, maybe 10 days or something consecutive.

I think this is a good idea - both for late blooming avatar collectors who won't have to move all their NP using the trading post and because it's a NP sink albeit probably a small one.
