New Void Within Avatar

Just when you thought the Void Within has finally given all it has to give, a new avatar has been released!

At the moment, this avatar has been added to the final prizes popup on the Void Within hub page. There's just a tiny issue with that. If you have already claimed your final prizes since the plot ended, you cannot retrigger that popup and claim the avatar.

The avatar is awarded for 'participating in every activity and reading the entire story', though this presumably does not mean completing every activity to its fullest degree.

If you have yet to claim your final Void Within final prizes, you may be able to claim the avatar if you qualify.

If you are using Chapter Replay cookies and you qualify, you may also be able to retrigger the popup if your cookie is still active. At the moment, the situation is slightly unclear.

Sounds like a glitch, yep. They better retroactively award this to people who claimed their prizes when the plot ended almost 2 months ago.

The avatar is super mid and since I already have Av collector and the gold trophy I really couldn't care less anymore about avatars I don't actually like, but this is still a really ridiculous thing to do.
I'm assuming the fact that we can't claim it is a glitch, though at the same time I wouldn't put it past this TNT at all that they made a special avatar specifically for the paying folks who bought replay cookies.
But if it was meant to be claimable by everybody then it's really weird they would release it this late.

I swear Neopets is becoming more and more frustrating every day. First you have to but NC items currently in the NC mall to enter the themed contest and now they release an avatar 2 months after the Void plot has ended. Most people who completed everything there was to do in this dragged out plot would collect their final prizes when it ended. SMH

I thought I would check out the Void Rewards page ... I discovered that at some point TNT had given me 42 points (last time I looked I was at zero). So I spent them just to see what would happen - NOTHING. Went to the Story, to the end of the Epilogue, ran through the last page again and NOTHING, So then I checked my Avatars - and had been awarded an ADVENTURE PASS JUNI AVATAR! Quite a surprise!

I mean, i 100% everything, I got gold on all of my trophies, claimed the prizes. No avatar. I even did enough damage to vovidicus to get the corrupted staff. I LITERALLY couldn't have done more over the span of the entire plot. Im not mad im more amused because Im just like "i literally..... gave it everything i had and then some"

I clicked on the Void Within page link there (in your post), and the pop-up *did* retrigger for me, though no Avatar was mentioned. I'm positive this is a glitch or maybe I didn't participate enough! I wonder if the pop would retrigger with a browser cache clear? Mine clears on every close, so maybe that's why the pop-up retriggered for me (or maybe it's meant to) - anyway, I'd totally give TNT the benefit of the doubt (and time).

So, has anyone bought the Chapter Replay cookie and redone any chapters to try and retrigger the popup to get this avatar? It's $6.50 in real money to get the cookie. Not the first time TNT has forced us to buy something in order to obtain an avatar.

Well, that stinks. I got my final prizes right at the end of the plot, and spent all my leftover prize points as well. I would like TNT to make this avatar available to everyone because I wonder if there are even people left who haven't claimed their final prizes yet.

The final plot reward notification has triggered for me basically every week since the plot ended, so - much like Premium goodie bag delivery - assume it's batched to groups of users at various intervals. Alternatively, you just didn't do enough or achieve the requirements for the avatar. Like it's just not known yet.

Even if the avatar was being granted the way it was meant to, the fact they're releasing this a month after the event ended AND that the avatar is super LQ and janky looking is just such a weird choice. People want a site theme for TVW, not avatar #284

Anyone encountering a bug with the petpet lab ray? One petpet isn't shown up at the petpet lab ray. The pet isn't in Grave Danger. The pet has been renamed, and it is still attached to my pet. Other petpets still show up except this particular one.

Did they just forget to release this avatar? And if so.. why release it after the fact, when everyone has finally been moving on from the greyness and the void? They could have just... not released it. It's not like we don't have other avatars with Nyx, Styx and Luxinia already. And I for one can do without constantly looking at the overly detailed face of Ozzy..

(And why are Orion and Fyora not part of this avatar? They were ""important"" to the story too!)

Also, this is probably going to take them days to figure out, but the solution is so easy: Just make it a free prize to pick up in the Prize Shop. Sure, it stops being a reward for having trudged through the walls of text they thought counted for story, but at least they don't have to figure out how to make a pop up work again without also accidentally rewarding the prizes again again..

Woo boy. A lot of stress in here. I think other places have just taught me it's better to just chill my beans and wait. It'll get fixed eventually and it's not hurting anything, so there's no point raising my blood pressure over it. Is it weird? Yeah. They probably just forgot to release it way back. Not a big deal.

But why was it released like this? Why is this not the first question they asked themselves before they added an avatar to an event that ended months ago? Where is the quality control?

I'm annoyed, but not because I can't get the avatar right now. I'm annoyed because this kind of thing is too common - they so rarely get it right the first time.

It's definitely a glitch everybody, just relax! The rules of obtaining the avatar are clear, so now it's just a matter of them figuring out how to let everyone else obtain it after the fact that doesn't involve every single person submitting a ticket.

Does it mean that I had to have done every step on time? I missed the first week and had to catch up. I just went back and got another popup with the trophy and kadoatie but no avatar. Someone on the boards said they used a replay cookie and still did not receive the Avatar.....

this is so unfair. the whole thing was glitchy. even IF you clicked and read every chapter, it didn't register. It always told me to go back. Sometimes it did work, sometimes it didn't. I couldn't constantly click back and forth when there were severe lag and glitch issues.

I would assume they are trying to make a fix to retroactively release it. Just hasn't been completed yet. Programmer is probably having issues figuring it out.

I did happen to get the pop up for my completion of the plot again. So that's promising... unless that's a glitch that's been going on for a while.

I had the prizes pop-up again today, but did not get the avatar. I did everything, outside of a singular achievement (did not use a light weapon on global challenge)- surely it can't mean every single achievement (esp one that is unachievable now), as well as the massive participation in every other activity over the course of years?

I'm genuinely frustrated with this, I 100%ed all achievements and I'm fairly certain I read all chapters within the limit but they told me in my ticket that I didn't complete at least 1 activity/chapter. Incredibly vague and hard to check since the plot dragged on for so long.

I absolutely know I completed every chapter and every step. However, I didn't get the avatar either. But then, I never change my avatar anyway. So they're just collectables like stamps and coins. It'd be "nice" to get it for collecting but I'm not going to fall into this bottomless TNT trap. To those who got it, congrats and enjoy.
