Companion App: Rubbish Dump & Wheel of Extravagance Added

The Neopets Companion App has received an update yesterday, adding in The Rubbish Dump and the Wheel of Extravagance.

After updating your app, tap the "Dailies" button on the bottom toolbar. The Rubbish Dump can be found at this first level, while the Wheel of Extravagance is under the Wheels submenu.

These features function just like they do on Neopets.com and are linked to the site. The Wheel of Extravagance does not have any app-exclusive bonuses, though the Rubbish Dump offers the dubious bonus of collecting 3 extra items for Premium members ~~and bizarrely shows only one item at a time~~ UPDATE, ~8pm NST: the full stock is now showing!.

Can you get the rubbish dump avatar in the app?

@jenneh probably, they've ported over every other relevant avatar so far. but as long as it only shows one item at a time, it's unlikely you'll ever get an avatar item before someone on site does

They must have updated it, because I'm now getting the normal amount of items!

As a note, I was able to collect 13 items from the rubbish dump with premium on the regular website earlier. I thought it was a glitch, but may just be a new perk

Interesting choice to add the rubbish dump. There are lots of other more popular pages that should have been added first.

Hoping we see some more of the "static" games on the app - I would love to have a mobile-friendly version of Pyramids or Cellblock. Maybe a version of Roodoku, too? There seem to be a lot of games that would port nicely to the app.

In any case, I'm just glad we're getting more options for the companion app

Glad to see continued updates for the new app! Fingers crossed them updating the customization page means it's potentially going to be there too.

I feel like them focusing on the most used, requested, and/or easy hits for updates and page-conversion to the app/ more contemporary webpage is the right course.

I collected items from the Money Tree earlier, on the website. I think I was able to get 13 of them, though I wouldn't swear to it; I know I counted at least 10 but not sure if it got to 13. Then I figured I could go on the app and get another 3 from the Rubbish Dump from there, but it said I had collected 13/13 items today. I wish it would show on the website how many you'd successfully picked up.

Has anyone's companion app stopped working after this update? When I try to log on, it takes me to the mobile webpage instead of the companion app. Ive tried uninstalling/reinstalling, restarting my phone and its still broken :/
