Companion App: Premium Scratchcards & Wheel of Starlight Added

The Neopets Companion App has received an update this morning, adding in Premium Scratchcards and the Wheel of Starlight.

After updating your app, tap the "Dailies" button on the bottom toolbar, and you'll find these under the existing Wheels and Scratchcards menus.

Of course, these two features are only available for Premium members. If you have an active Premium subscription, they'll function just like they do on Neopets.com and are linked to the site—but there aren't any bonus scratches or spins like other Companion app features have.

I don't understand the point of the app. Are there things only available on the app and not the website?

@musicallittle1: The point is to give users another avenue to interact with Neopets. It's powerful to have a Neopets icon on your phone's home screen vs. needing to remember to open up a web browser and type in Neopets.com.

Plus, the app is filled with bonus perks so you can double dip on things like fishing and scratchcards, either by watching an ad or by subscribing to Premium.

@obaraten: Read our linked guide--almost every new feature they add has bonuses, like a second omelette each day or free Terror Mountain + Deserted Fairgrounds scratchcards.

For those not in the know: if you're still having issues with recaptcha in the shops, the app uses the old image captcha, and is super fast.

I would love to have the daily quest log, and an ability to complete all possible questions from the app (example, adding the Battledome!)

Honesty, little by little I like that they’re adding new stuff to the app. I hope it stays consistent but they don’t overdo it as much where it starts to get buggy. Roll out bits by bits to hopefully have a fully functional app (someday lol)
