Also that's an ancient version. One that shouldn't have even been posted.

I dunno how someone got ahold of this version. I'm really annoyed cause that's not the one that should be shown

That's the same version of the poster that's on the Google Forms page, and if you zoom in to the computer and what's on the screen, it looks like AI artifacts.

@pandah most of the userbase is in the US so naturally most things happen where the largest audience is. they have done some things in australia and canada though too! things in other countries seem to be mostly community organized, you can apply to do one and i believe TNT will help you. while it won't be as large scale, it could be a start.

That poster was most definitely finished using AI. Yikes.

Just gonna hop on the "oh that's definitely AI" train because that art threw me for a LOOP opening Jellyneo this morning. Chadrick's poor nose isn't even attached to his face!

When you zoom in, you can see the AI artifacts especially around Chadrick's collar and sleeves and the Grundo in the back's fingers. I hate to be an "as an artist" person because I'm nowhere near professional levels myself, but I do know that for me, personally, mistakes like the keyboards all having different connectors that also attach in different places, Lulu's far ear being partially upside down and her teeth melting into her mouth, and the Kadoatie's tail being lumpy aren't usually first draft mistakes when doing the art yourself.

No hate to the artist because I don't know what went on behind the scenes, or if they (or TNT) just used AI to polish/finish a rough sketch for a mockup that somehow ended up making the final cut by mistake but... this is definitely AI, and it's a little sad to see it as an official poster.

TNT deleted my topic on the Neoboards about the AI poster because "the discussion on the board became heated, unproductive, and included comments that were offensive others." While they told me the topic wasn't against the rules, I can't make another post about it, so could someone else do it for me so TNT can be held accountable and this can't just be swept under the rug?

I guess I don't really understand how TNT is doing things these days...

Ok, ignoring the main art because I get that I could be missing things in that regards- its the graphic design assets that are throwing me a ton.

The lil clipart kinda symbols in the bottom left for the Calendar, the Door, and the money sign. Am I crazy for thinking those are likely some kind of premade GenAi asset that was added in as part of the poster part? Why is the last day on the calendar cut in half, why does the door have an extra hole. Stuff like that. On the right side text box, theres that lil pink guy who is half a star, and half a lightening bolt? regardless of the main art, those elements are the big red flags to me that AI was potentially involved in the finishing aspects.

OOF, yeah I had an NM like that before as well from a basic "suspicious / AI / rulebreaking entries in creative contests" board. While it was intended to do just that and we never called out a direct person, sadly sometimes things went downhill and idk man...

But like we shouldn't HAVE to have AI PSAs on Neopets - they need to do something about this so these people cannot continue to steal prizes from genuine artists. Even if it's not real life money, it still sucks to see people putting in their effort, regardless of skill level, and the AI losers take it from them. :/


Then again, if TNT themselves was using traced AI slop before, how can we truly say that they're without a doubt anti AI...?

Looks like this Monopoly set doesn't have an edition size and it's about 30 usd lower than the previous release.

@overboss I don't think Neopets is anti-AI. I also don't think they're pro-AI. I think they just want to choose whichever one will make them more money. And if that means they have to be anti-AI to keep their fanbase, they're anti-AI. Until something persuades them otherwise...

I mean - can we bring our kids to the arcade meetup. heh heh

I prefer the concept of the original poster because the characters appeared hand-drawn. But I can empathize with everybody pointing out the AI usage. I'm far from astute and not very meticulous so I couldn't notice/identify most of those details mentioned.

That poster is so clearly altered with ai (or entirely generated) and seeing @lilangel come on here and defend it is really REALLY disappointing.

The centre art MIGHT be drawn by Dawn but she's obviously slapped it into an ai to generate that awful poster design and called it a day. You zoom in and can easily tell it's not drawn by a person.

The poster design aside, look at:
1. AAA's collar and the weird artefacts around it.
2. Abigail's crazy weird fingers with one that looks like it has a monster fingernail??
3. The Grundo's hands are disfigured as well like an ai drew them
4. You can SEE where the keyboard was partially covered with a solid color to hide the keys?? Its so obvious too?
5. The cybunny with her eyes melting and her spots and hair glitching?
6. Look at that Brown Uni! I recognise the original Neopets art for it and yet you zoom in and it's totally disfigured like an ai has swept over it. The background has strange and confusing shapes that make no sense when you actually look at it closely.
7. The weird and inconsistent designs and ele,ents of the entire piece itself.

Honestly, if tnt approved this then idk if they looked at it properly. And lilangel claiming its all her own art and made in illustrator?? Can you show us the actual art layers then?? Sorry but this is so disappointing and I am surprised this was ever allowed. Shame to see such a longtime artist do this when artists are already facing so much stress from ai.
