Yesterday was Tuskaninny Day! Here's what's newly available for the species:

A red recolour of the Tuskaninny Parka from Tuskaninny Day 2007 is also available at Uni's Clothing.


A new plushie is at the Pluishie Palace.


A malt and some fries are on sale at Neopian Fresh Foods.


And lastly, a Pet Day mystery capsule is available at the NC Mall:

That Botanist Tuskaninny looks strange, almost like an Ixi.

The NC pet wearable is HIDEOUS. Not even in an ugly cute way. It's so badly designed! It's like they tried to do a Primarina and ended up with some kind of pixie cut goblin with a stache. At least change the color of the mouth part?? Why it is such an odd shade of grey that doesn't fit in anywhere else? The weirdly blobby arms and the random chest ruff?? The fur tuff that looks like a too-high belly button? The broken joint tail! What am I looking at?!

Yeah, that botanist Tuskaninny looks SO bad! Doesn't even look like a Tuskaninny anymore!! XD

So that Toy.. is basically a plushie, right? Didn't we already have a colour for that? The TY/Beanie Baby-aesthetic is nice though ^^

And I spy a Selkie. Interesting. I kind of like the stylised background/foreground elements, although they really only work with one another..

And of course the wig is randomly sold separately for this one instead of a single package. They've been splitting their get ups into more and more components lately where it's no longer optional to have them to complete the full look.

Ah, THAT is what the Botanist looks like.. Hmm.. Well the cap is nice. But most botanists I know (which is none) don't have plants on their head.. The vest and satchel are nice. Could be separated, but are fine. The tail vines.. eh. Could they not think of anything better?

Toy is ADORABLE, the mermaid scares me lol. the arms are just.... too human, and the eyes do not fit with the face. last years outfit was so good, what a downgrade

I am SO in love with my new Toy Tuskaninny,I adopted one from the pound and painted her as soon as I saw the Rainbow Pool update last night. I was one of the people voting for this fanmade design and am so happy they made it!!
The Botanist outfit..I like the vines/leaves on the tail as that can work with underwater or jungle looks, and the vest and satchel though I wish they were separate. Those are the pieces I like and can work with, lol. The red Parka is cute, I love the recolour idea! I love that we`re getting more NP items in general for pet days now, the food and plushie are so classic Neo. Fun!
The NC capsule.. I think the outfit is supposed to be a Kelpie (a woman who can turn into a seal) but it comes across as weird and creepy, I don`t like it. The style of the wearables is not my thing, but I get book illustration vibes.

Toy is suuuuper cuuuute. I wasn't aware of the fan design but glad they went with it.

That NC Tuskaninny is gonna haunt my nightmares. Why does it look more like a mutated monkey than anything?

Oooh I want to know the inspiration behind the Toy design so badly!!! My first instinct is Beanie Babies BUT Ganz also had a similar tush tag for the first-gen Webkinz so it's making me think of the 2006 Seal. I'm actually a collector of both (and a longtime player of the latter) so it makes me very happy

Botanist goes great with Swamp Gas and Woodland, I think so anyway. Looks like a Poison Ivy custom or alchemist. Maybe add crazy eyes and a bird petpet and you're all set.

I have no clue what people are talking about with the Botanist outfit looking bad or like an Ixi. I don't see it at all. I came here to say that I really liked it! I would love to see more clothing in this style. (More earthy clothing in general!)

Also that seal soft toy is so cute! I had a white seal like that when I was young and although the pose is very different this one looks just as soft!

Never been a fan of Tuskaninnies. Still waiting for the lab ray to transform one of my rats and see what I end up with, unless It's something simple or close to the four basic colours

I don't get the ixi comparison, but the botanist outfit is a little much. Don't like the mermaid outfit, but all the other components are gorgeous. So dynamic! Last year's Tuskaninny cap was better, IMHO, but I really do love that background. I love the Toy Tuskaninny. It is so very very cute. I would never have a Tuskaninny, but this did make me want to hug one.

I love love love the Toy Tuskaninny

For the items, Striped Tuskaninny Plushie is cute. I'm also happy that they released some unreleased items (the two foods). I really like the design of the Tuskaninny Kelp Malt.

Overall, way better than last year when Tuskaninnies didn't even get a new outfit

@xxhopexx, @eliz1bef: We made the Ixi comparison as a joke. Earlier, JN posted the Ixi outfit in this post instead of Tuskaninny outfit, while still labelling it as botanist outfit. The mistake has been fixed.

Tuskaninnies aren't usually my favourite pet but that Toy colour is cute as heeeeeeeck! Honestly so, so cute!

And I'm kind of in love with the botanist outfit. The satchel and vest is fantastic. And I don't even hate the capsule. Like the selkie is kind of intriguing...a little creepy but intriguing!! Considering gambling on the capsule for those elements...wish I could just buy them individually tbh.

The fluffy Toy is cute, but the hands... they should be more furry. They look weirdly out of place.

The NC outfit, well. A bit horrifying, and also kind of a weird mermaid with the mysterious (furry?) chest, lol.
