Void Within Chapter Replay Cookies Released

UPDATE ~5:30pm NST: If your pet was in a hospital shift, you can now collect shift rewards and free your pets back up, even without purchasing a ticket.

However, this seems to error out if you no longer possess all the pets that were in the hospital - so if you traded one or put it in the pound, you're still SOL at the moment.

UPDATE ~12pm NST: With the release of the cookies, Hospital Volunteering appears to have been reactivated for everyone - though only those who have paid for cookies can access it. This means any users who had pets on shift when the plot ended currently cannot use them in the Battledome. Attempting to collect shift rewards without a cookie active will result in an error message, leaving them in limbo.

Hopefully TNT will rectify this soon.

Today, the previously advertised Chapter Replay Cookies have been released at the NC Mall.

If you purchase one of these cookies, you are able to select one chapter of the Void Within plot to replay. This includes general activities like essence collection, volunteering and battling, or the specific plot steps like the choose your own adventure game included in the comics.

Not included is the community boss against Vocivus, or the ability to gain time specific achievements (though others are available). Once activated, you will have a week to earn points/rewards from the cookie before it expires.

Other paid plot boosters, like those that increase the weekly points or double prizes, can be used at the same time as a replay cookie. Points gained via the cookie also count towards progress on the Adventure Pass.

Of important note, points gained via the cookie count towards both the prize shop and trophies. This means that users who did not participate in the plot while it was running can now claim the top trophy if they are willing to buy enough cookies.

You are able to replay the same chapter multiple times via activating multiple cookies. As such, there does not appear to be an upper limit on the amount of points that can be earned via cookies.

In related news, you may have noticed yesterday that points on trophies were adjusted to include points gained via paid boosters. This is despite previous announcements from TNT that points gained in this way would not be applied to trophies. It is unclear at this stage if the adjustments to trophies were deliberate or not.

You don’t need to purchase the new cookies for the points to already count… not sure if it was. Glitch, but everyone in my guild got moved to trophy tiers that matched their plot points (myself included, I used a 3 boosters every week and only missed the start of the event) as of yesterday.

My pets which were volunteering in the hospital when the plot ended are now shown as volunteering again on the battledome page. But when I visit the hospital to collect shift rewards, I get an Error Occurred pop-up (and redirected from wrong place). I've tried spamming the button and refreshing the page, but no luck so far. I've not bought/used the Chapter Replay cookie.

I'm angry.

I never bought any NC to aid my plot points.
Now all my pets are stuck 'volunteering in the neohospital' and I can't battle. If I lose my quest log streak because I can't complete a battle, all because TNT can't let this awful plot just end, I'm literally going to be done with Neopets. It's to the point it's all pay to win anyway.

Utter Pay-to-win absolute bullsh**. What was the point in keeping up with the plot for over 3 effing years?? Sacrificed Daily Dare and GMC AND last years AC all for keeping up with a plot that you can just pay for at the end!

This is how much your time, effort and loyalty for making the effort is worth. 650NC, so around $5 for all of those hours throughout all of those years. There is no reason whatsoever to take part in any plot going forward. I'm so sick of feeling like my time means NOTHING on Neopets when they just sell the effort right at the end! This TNT has 0 shame, 0 integrity and won't stop until the whole f**** site is a tacky live-service mobile game.

Unpopular opinion but I kind of hope TNT will consider doing this for past plots if the code isn't spaghetti. My noob self didn't know you had to equip items to your pet to inflict damage in the Battledome so I lost out on getting a trophy for Brucey B and the Lucky Coin

Other plots I was inactive for years and missed out on an easy Site Event trophy for participating.

It could be the lowest level of trophy. Site Event trophies are primarily about participation and timing (the more progress you complete the higher rank the trophy is) It's not like Game Trophies that mostly require skill and practice.

If I had known they'd let the booster points count towards the trophies, I definitely would've bought more DURING the event! I was only 2k away from the next trophy, but didn't bother with a booster because they specifically said it wouldn't count!!!! I don't want to bother with this event or its achievements anymore. I know some people will bite on this but it's a hard no for me.

Can confirm my pets are also showing as volunteering and I get an error when trying to collect my last shift rewards. Thankfully my battle pet was not volunteering so I can still fight, but I feel bad for those whose pets are now all stuck

By far the worst decision TNT has made. They started on the slippery slope years ago with the original cookies, but this is gag-worthy. Welcome to the full P2W website. Don't bother interacting, you can just pay for it later....assuming there is a later, because this screams "we're a sinking ship and this is a last ditch effort to stay afloat."

This absolute 0 effort AC (no ranks, nothing to work towards, garbage prize shop) already had me considering stopping buying NC and this is the last straw for me. As Remy said above, how long until we can buy past event trophies? Pay cash for missing avatars? Things that we’ve put years of work into are now worth $5. Neopets means nothing to the people running it, and it shows.

The only possible interesting outcome from this are the expensive rewards from the battledome. I absolutely hate battling on neopets, so I mostly ignored this part of the event. But even so, there could be more honest ways of distributing those a few years later. TNT is desperate.

Whatever they did here is making it so my pets are all considered to be currently volunteering in the neohospital but I can't select "collect rewards" to remove them, it tells me I was redirected from the wrong page 🤗🤗🤗 I didn't buy the cookie and I'm not going to btw, but I can't complete my BD quest today because of this

I didn't join the plot until this year, so I missed out on a bunch of chapters and I bought a pack of replay cookies. I'm only on chapter 1, but it keeps getting stuck on page 9. It won't let me progress. There's no puzzle to complete on that page, so I'm confused.

Meh. Bad idea, signals bad things (not that we haven't had years of those), but also kind of pointless to get angry over. Everyone who's done with the plot can move on, and if others want to attempt to "farm" the plot, they can have at it. It'll theoretically keep inflation down at least slightly for the plot prizes if this is a permanent thing, which isn't a bad thing in and of itself.

Allll TNT had to do was let players gain unlimited plot points the last week of the plot. Or even have random “unlimited points” days. Thats it. But no - they put a cap on them because they KNEW they could monetize this later on. This is really, really gross. And defeats the purpose of trophies and the prize shop.

ugh, neopets is so pay-to-win these days... it's not new, but i still don't like it.
i feel like at this point tnt might as well cut to the chase and start selling neopoints for real money 1:1 instead of selling np items that people can resell.

i'd be surprised if anyone really wanted to use this, as the plot was SO long, but i suppose since grinding out points to get more of the high-value prize shop items might be worth it for some ppl. i don't think i'd replay any chapter even if they paid ME, lol

It really shocks me how some users/players want to keep all the fun to themselves. I participated in the plot from 2024 to 2026 and weathered every hiatus, but I have friends who only jumped in for the final act—and that got them excited about Neopets again after years away. I have two examples close to me. Does that mean they *don't* deserve to play the other chapters?

TNT is revamping a site originally built for kids—kids who have since grown up. I see people complaining about these decisions—like the fact that the Altador Cup isn't as much of a grind as it used to be—which makes me wonder: who actually has the time these days to play 1,000 matches of Yooyuball? lol
Reducing the time commitment and implementing OPTIONS for those who couldn't play earlier is a significant move.

Pay-to-win? Maybe. But you still have to *play* to win. After all, the Drakaras Wand isn't going to farm itself, lol.

Besides, the logic is the same as always: EVERYTHING is optional. Nothing is mandatory.
They release capsule after capsule and customization after customization every day, and I don't even go near them because it makes NO sense to me.
But for some people, having purchasing options feels almost like a personal attack. Let's keep our own insignificance in perspective, lol.

To me, it's less about other people's ability to earn a trophy and more about negating the efforts of everyone who participated the entire time. At the beginning of the plot, people literally lost sleep to keep up with hospital volunteering. And later, hours of effort was spent completing steps the week of release because they wouldn't be available the following week. Putting up with soul-crushing lag to even just read new chapter pages. At one point, I actually paid for internet while traveling just so I wouldn't miss anything. >_o Not to mention all the hours I missed spending time with people because I was doing what I thought were time-limited plot activities. There were points when I dreaded the plot because of how much time it took to participate. And apparently none of that stress was necessary at all.

Plus, Neopets is a site with an economy and TNT keeps devaluing investments. In the past, the main way I earned income was by participating in events. I wasn't good at sniping or restocking or getting lucky with dailies or anything else. BUT, I could dedicate massive amounts of effort to plots and events and patiently sit on the prizes I earned (sometimes for years) until they were worth something.

Now anything I earn is likely to either be purchasable with real money, or eventually given away with minimal effort so that it becomes worthless. And apparently, with the release of these new plot cookies, we now have the ability to infinitely generate plot points, flooding the market with everything that seems even mildly valuable.

I do not think it is unreasonable to want your efforts to mean SOMETHING. Why even bother trying if nothing you do rewards you in any way? A few years ago, even one of the top prizes for Altador Cup participation was available to everyone a couple of months later. It is truly a slap in the face.

I have every event and plot trophy since Meridell, and I really hope they release past plots for users who never had the chance to experience it like I have. Battledome, puzzles, trophies, avatars. Maybe have a boarder around them to show a cookie was used. I’d love to relive some of them again.

There is absolutely no need for me to replay any of the chapters. I passed them all, got all the achievements and prizes that came with them, and got everything from the prize shop that I wanted, plus extra items in order to use up all my points. I really don't see the purpose of this cookie for those who played the entire plot, but I do understand how it will be very good for those who are missing chapters.

I think it would be a great idea to enable players to participate in plots they missed, just for fun. There are some I didn't get to experience as well and always wished I had. But I don't think we should be getting any plot points from it. And even with avatars, as much as I want ALL of them, I think it's fine to have exclusive rewards for the people who were actually there. Otherwise there's is no point to keep coming back to this site regularly.

@sakibou I see your point, and I agree that they shouldn't be giving out chapter rewards (the ones we earn by reading pages, like stamps, etc.). I agree with you that they’re going to put items on the market that ought to be more valuable.

However, they did remove items like weapons, collectibles, and so on from the prize shop, anticipating this market issue. They really should have given more thought to the chapter items, though.

The Vocivus of the Void Stamp is an item, for example, that should be rarer than it is. And now it is being re-released.

I think this is a great idea by TNT. This isn't pay to win in my view. I'm definitely in the position of loving the idea of being able to engage in past plots and receive those trophies. As someone who had an account from many years ago that got purged from non-use this is a boon in the making. Rather than pay to win in my view this is more pay to be a part of past experiences. After all you put down your money but you still have to do the work to do the activities. It would be one thing if you bought your cookie and it auto completed for you but that is not the case.

The ensh*ttification of the site keeps outdoing itself. I was considering it before, but 650NC for a chapter - technically, 650NC for 4K plot and prize points - is way too steep.

And of course Hospital is broken even for those who didn't purchase the cookies. Of course the plot points got re-adjusted for the trophies when they explicitly told us previously that cookies would not count for them.

Is this optional? Of course. No one's holding a gun to my head to spend NC except for FOMO and TNT knows this. The optionality is not the point. The predatory marketing is. This is the same argument all other P2W models have in every other game. They only need to hook the people who WILL spend and have no issues doing so. The small amount of whales fund the majority of the rest of the F2P players. The rest of it - negative feedback, angry fanbase - is just noise to them because we aren't paying.

It's so disappointing because it's so scummy. At the same time, the site can't run for free.

Neopets will never go back to what it was. Nostalgia is dead.

It should absolutely not count for the trophies. Everything else yes, but the trophies should be for engaging with the plot organically, while it's happening, not for paying for them. If they want to give out trophies for buying NC, make a separate one that says how many points you got after the plot was over, lol.

I mean, there was literally a cookie or whatever, during the plot, that gave you extra points that only counted for the shop, not the trophy. Because, you know, the trophy should be an equal chance, the same amount of effort, and available for everyone the same. And now they're going back on that? I really hope this is an error they will rectify.

So:
1. They made a gross chapter replay cookie so it's another pay-to-win element
2. They couldn't fix the horrendous hospital shifts glitch BEFORE dropping the cookies, and
3. STILL no 500 points for the raid, with TNT sending the same canned "We'll fix this when the plot is over, pinky promise!" emails and closing tickets when the plot is ALREADY over and has been for WEEKS-

The plot is over and they're still finding new ways to disappoint the community, I'm almost kind of impressed they managed to fumble things so badly this consistently.

I was somewhat excited when I heard these cookies were announced.
Primarily because I only showed back up when the plot restarted in the spring.
Now that we have a price, I'm actually a bit disappointed.
I had hoped that the Cookies would give the ability to potentially finish the first Fearless Deed, but currently, it doesn't seem so. Which is also 100% fine, my completionist side just is bummed lol.
But doing the math on any of the items I'd want in the chapters, it doesn't make sense to spend the money vs. just collecting the items via neopoints.
I dunno, as someone who was hyped for the cookies at first, I feel like seeing how it will affect trophies and now is affecting pets bc of the Hospital Shifts.
It just feels. *meh*

I know someone else mentioned them doing this to older plots, and I wouldn't mind that. But, just don't discredit the trophies/effort put in by those who did it live.

Well, this is odd... I had a couple of pets that I moved to my sides that had been volunteering, but since it all ended before I could clear them out, when I try to claim the rewards on my main, it says 'You are not the owner of one of the pets assigned to your shifts!' However, I went to my sides to see if any of those pets are shown as not being able to participate in the Battledome (I didn't try to participate, since I know it's against the rules, I just wanted to see what the site said), and all of them show as being ready to fight. Since I didn't do any of the Void plot on my sides, I don't have the 'collect shift rewards' button, and since I can't bring the pets back who were on the shifts (mostly because I don't want to go through all the transferring again), do I need to send in a ticket so the shift rewards button will go away? Or does it really matter one way or the other?

My pets were successfully released from hospital prison. Go back to the page and try to remove them. If it doesn't work, refresh it and try again. My pets were released after failing the first time and refreshing to try again.

I got a Void Kadoatie from revisiting the plot hub (am not using the replay cookie), taking part in this year's AC is getting registered for the "Attend a Seasonal Event" achievement, which finally made me eligible for the Kad as a final prize.

Maybe they should have done something else instead of the cookies... Maybe something like a pass to 'replay the plot if you haven't done it already' instead of unlimited replays. That way, everyone who missed it could replay it one single time, and once you already did it, it's over, and the people who already did everything, cant do it again. That way the prizes would stay at least sort of valuable, but everyone would be able to participate. Kinda like the altador plot. It can still be done, but only one single time per player.

I 100% agree with the pay to win issue and it kept me away from neopets for a long time. and right now you want the newest art colors for your pet - RNG skins you buy with NC or RNG capsules you buy with NC, the current AC was just put on so they could do a new SKY NC run. cookies that let you target the strongest fairies and free colors from the rainbow pools with NC, train your pet - NC. on top of the site being almost unusable due to the ads if you dont pay for permium. you want super expensive older items - go play and pay for our mobile games that we dont update unless its to give you neopet site items. its very agressive

I remember when NC was first introduced and they swore up and down it would NEVER be used to gain any advantage. (heck, I remember when banner ads were introduced and they promised they'd be as minimally invasive as possible)

I mean I'm trying to remember these are pixels and what does it matter that I worked my butt off to get a trophy (without the boosters because I didn't think they would count) and managed to get the top one. But I hate this so much. I have barely any site participation trophies because I didn't really get it at the time but now I have one and it essentially means nothing lol
I hate it. I'm sorry. And nothing against people excited I mean they released the product, go ahead and use it for sure. But I hate that it even exists.

TNT is going their best!! Give them some grace and put your comments to use in a feedback ticket! We should all feel lucky that the pay to win options aren’t nearly as pricey as market trends would recommend (comparably to other P2W games). I challenge you to go play another P2W game. I got one to test how battling works. Because I just need a few thousand more points.

It's lowkey broken. The Malevolent Being gives an error before the battle can start. I tried the two large-wave battles from the last act, and they work for three waves. After that, it just seems to load forever. It does, however, give some points and prizes without telling you.

Absolutely disgusting. I say this as someone who bought and used chapter meter points since I missed the first few chapters of the plot and was trying to catch up for the sake of the prize shop, but it’s absolutely disgusting to allow trophies to be altered for real money. I didn’t want my trophy to be upgraded based on the chapter meter-earned points and I hate that it was — especially after TNT explicitly said that wouldn’t be the case.

Of course we all know what it’s like to come back from hiatus and be bummed we missed a plot but that’s just always been part of the game. Piece by piece, this new TNT is destroying every single thing that makes Neopets Neopets.

I can't even figure out how you would get old achievements. How do you know which chapter a boss was from? Or a game like Tea Time or Voidworks? It's obvious what acts they're from, but the cookie asks you to choose a chapter, not an act. Neither the site nor JellyNeo has that kind of information on the main pages or guides. Maybe if you scroll through every TVW news post? It just seems like bad planning...

So... I missed a few weeks of the plot. I was fine with that. I also hated my final points total because it ended with an odd number (7) before the adjustment. But still, plots like this by nature require active participation and for someone to be online to get certain things. I'm completely against the concept of paying to access retired prizes and achievements, and I'm completely against retroactive adjustments of points.

What's annoying is I purchased this replay cookie, completed the last achievement I had (Lost in the Dark), and yet it doesn't affect the "Final Prize" that's awarded (of which I received nothing despite playing nearly every chapter when it was live). So don't try to use these cookies to earn a final prize because it won't work.

@keighty7 It works for Lost in the Dark achievement but you don't earn anything by completing the achievement other than the prize for completing the few achievements for that specific act. I replayed Chapter 7 and used "Left, Left, Left" which someone told me is an easy way to get through it a lot of the time - surprisingly it worked on my 3rd try.

Per my NeoBoard Void Within Post: Can anyone confirm if they already completed Ch 2 if they are receiving this avatar retroactively? I redid Chapter 1 only because I had completed Chapter 2 during the original timeline and wanted to retrieve a few missing days from Chapter 1. I do not want to redo Chapter 2 completely UNLESS it awards the avatar.

It's crazy that now the majority of my pets cannot be transferred because "Error: Your Neopet is currently Volunteering in the NeoHospital! You'll have to complete the shift or withdraw before [s/he] can leave your side."
However, since two pets that were volunteering were transferred to side accounts after the plot ended (and before this replay nonsense), I can't collect the rewards and free everyone up.
