Final Day for Kiko Match Madness

UPDATE, July 7th: And the event has concluded! Trophies and avatars have been awarded to everyone automatically this morning, but you can check out the event hub to see what you ended up with.



Today is the last day to submit scores for the Kiko Match Madness event!

Sending at least one score will net you a participation ribbon, and it's not even too late to earn Silver if you complete all five challenges today! A Gold trophy requires completing each of the five challenges within 3 days of release, so you may be too late for Gold if you have not been participating since the beginning.


An avatar will also be available at some point after the event for anyone who completed at least one challenge.

I have completed all of the challenges (green check marks displaying, button says "Claimed!") but none of the corresponding items have appeared in my inventory, is anyone else having this problem?

Loved this event otherwise! Much less frustrating than the Sakhmet Solitaire one.

I also have not received the items, I'm playing on the app so I think it's a delay in awarding? I'll put in a ticket tomorrow if they don't show up

I'd recommend putting in a ticket if you don't get the prizes immediately. I'm playing on desktop and have gotten all the prizes as soon as I've completed the challenges and clicked 'claimed.' I don't think they're supposed to be delayed.

If the time bonus is proving tricky, open up notepad to jot the Kikos down. Time won't progress while focusing on a different window.

To add to dark169: You can easily get 800 points (as I found out thanks to someone on Reddit) by just getting a low enough number of moves on the highest grid. So yeah, jot down the Kiko's you find and be accurate, even if it wastes time ^^

Didn't quite clue in on the moves bonus vs. time bonus and missed Challenge 3's time window, so only a silver for me, but otherwise really enjoyed this challenge format! Hope they continue on with these little challenges - something to look forward to without it feeling kind of stressful/overwhelming.

I got the 800 points by literally drawing 36 squares (6x6) on a sheet of paper. I would flip two cards, immediately pause the game, and write down their color in the corresponding square in my row. I did this to avoid wasting precious seconds and try to solve it in the fewest moves possible. In the end, I got 850 points.

Another tip to save moves is to flip them one at a time once you have a bunch uncovered to check them against previously uncovered ! Good luck everyone and congrats to everyone already completed

To the people who are trying to collect the rewards via the companion app, it doesn't work. You need to collect the rewards via the website (I had the same issue) ☺️

Thank you everyone who explained you can 'pause' the game by going to a different window than where the game is open! Managed to get my 800+ score without stressing

The pause trick really helped on all days for me haha. But tbh, despite needing like google sheets to plan things out, I really did enjoy this challenge set.

I've had an ongoing WebGL nightmare, where many of the games on Neo will not work in Firefox for me (but they do on Edge). Since I'm not going to switch to Edge, I might just bow out of this tournament. The prizes aren't exciting to me anyway.

Pause button, jotting every kiko down on a table, and revealing the kikos one by one (so if you reveal a kiko and you know you can match it to one you've already uncovered, you make the match right then and there) is the key.

thank goodness i checked these comments and saw the pausing trick, i didn't have any issues with the other four challenges but that 800+ score was kicking my butt

Pretty cool event, thank you, I enjoyed it. I wonder if they're gonna release a 2nd avatar like they did with the solitaire (I haven't gotten that one yet). It would've been awesome if we could've earned the blue ribbon and avatar, instead of one or the other.

I played on the app and didn’t get the prizes and also couldn’t claim them. Then when I went to the website I could click the claim prizes button and received the prizes.

I think the app was just broken all these days but honestly I haven’t bothered reporting it because support are nitwits.

The page says, "Earn exclusive prizes when the event ends! Your trophy will upgrade based on your final performance. These items will be granted to your inventory after the event ends." Was anyone else expecting, uh, not just an avatar and trophy at the end because of this wording, lol? I was expecting to get items, which are the only kind of prize that actually goes into the inventory.
