Neopets Comes to Fortnite

The Aisha is making its debut as the latest sidekick in Fortnite today, at 5:00 PM NST! You can find it in the Fortnite Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks until July 9th at 5:00 PM NST.

You'll be able to unlock a Blue Aisha and an Alien Aisha, along with some cute emotes!

Here's a preview of what it'll look like in-game. Jellyneo received some early access codes from TNT and the fine folks over at Fortnite so we could grab these in-game screenshots to share.

if this doesn't get more traction back to neopets, i'm honestly not sure what would at this point.

i also just don't really even understand why ppl would be disappointed about this collab. i think this is pretty big for neopets. the site needs advertising, and the app games are doing a pretty bad job at that considering how terrible they are.

I'm going against the grain here, I love this. Fortnite is in a terrible position because of their shady practices and how they treat their employees (whatever is left of them), but this is the most animated I think we've ever seen a pet and it's incredible.

Like this is exactly how I imagined my static, 2d pets would move around when I was a kid. That's awesome

Another Aisha? Seriously?

I think these collaborations are annoying because TNT is looking for people outside the site when the site is still buggy. The site's theme is a hybrid between a 2000 version and a beta version that's better suited to mobile phones than a website that has been online for 25 years. New people who arrive don't understand that or why it's different; some of the games are broken and the HTML5 games have bugs, some wereables are broken and the main event took three years of constant changes on the fly and pauses because they didn't plan and test anything before launching it. I think thats why.

Is it free? If so, I might even play it for a week for fun, not the biggest fan of the game, but the no-build mode is very mobile friendly.

But this? This was beyond my expectations. Just like @shawmon and @jawbutch mentioned, this Is probably the best animated neopet I have ever seen

As for JN asking which Neopet to see in Fortnite next, I can't think of anything but Wocky right now, but that thought Is stuck from back when Wockies were smirky because now they just look adorably normal imo

I'm not sure where these V-Bucks prices are from, the rate is closer to $1 per 100 V-Bucks. The most expensive rate directly on Fortnite is $9 for 800 V-Bucks, so $18 to get 1,600 then, which gets you the Aisha and 100 spare. But just like with Neocash, if you buy bigger quantities you get more for how much you spend, like the next tier is $23 for 2,400 V-Bucks, which gets you the Aisha at 1,500, and then have enough left to pay for a season pass (and if you play Fortnite regularly, those passes pay back for themselves.)
I understand $15-$18 might still seem a bit pricey, but this is a very standard price in Fortnite for almost every IP collaboration they do. And you do get both Aisha skins with it and their own emotes, unlocking all of it doesn't take too long.

That is pretty adorably done in a cell-shaded style. I would love to see this style executed for KQ if ever remade. I don't play Fortnite but I love the exposure!

As someone who plays Fortnite, this is a terribly low-effort sidekick. Many others at least let you change the sidekick's base color, so the fact that you're stuck with either blue or Alien is wild, and a rip-off. They could have at least made it so you could let your Aisha be either red, yellow, or green, as well as blue

Considering the only place on Neopets with "guns" is Virtupets & Kreludor (via laser blasters), skins on characters from there would make the most sense. Dr. Sloth (and Evil Sloth Clone... and Happiness Faerie), Commander Garoo, Commander Gormos, Valka, Mira/Space Faerie, Scout, Sophix II, Ylana Skyfire, & even Nyx. I feel Cylara and normal Grundo characters are a bit too short (like maybe they can stretch Xarthab & Zorlix, though I feel Gorix and Parlax wouldn't look right). Though we also have the Gormball Players, Altador Cup Teams, and really side characters like Farlax V, Sergeant Zarex, and the Kreludan Defender robots.

I do agree some people are being overly negative about this, it has its pros and cons! For me, dealbreaker is the price. But then again, I don't play Fortnite. At all. And I don't know if I actually ever will again cuz I'm not sure how the gameplay is now, but I do think this could be a positive for Neopets in term of brand recognition and possibly getting more new and/or returning players.

It's also really well animated, modeled, very cute and I like the silly little meow for it. Call me easy to please but I love a well done 3D model, especially if it's of a character I like.
The Aisha is cute and I hope everyone who does get one enjoys it!

I know nothing about this game but wow they animated her really cute. That little vending machine dance was so cute!! Also, is this the first example of hearing an Aisha actually "meow"?

I bought it and think it is very cute. I don't think this is a collab that just brings in new people. It may remind people that Neopets still exists. People might feel nostalgia and try to log into old accounts.

I'm very happy with this collab, the Aisha model and emotes are super adorable.

It's also interesting that this is part of the "Neopets: Aisha Edition" set in Fortnite, which makes me hopeful that there is more Neopets stuff in the works.

I definetly grabbed one. I mainly play the Festival stuff and horror experiences, but thankfully my new little friend can tag along

I understand peoples cringe and ick with Fortnite (funny enough, I know that was a mind set with some kids/adults and Neopets in in the 2000s, and even now if you told someone from the 2000s you still play Neopets, sometimes you get that look lol.) But I agree I think this is a good collab to have, it has a broader reach than a lot of collabs that get limited to certain store brands or restaurants limited to small areas, vs Fortnite, a game available in multiple countries and has the chance to reach and interest a different audience.

If your not a FN fan, perfectly fine, there are likely to be other collabs in the future that you may enjoy. But I don't think its a bad collab for Neopets to do at least.

I mean it's something. Fortnite hype has died off. But it's cool to see something from Neopets out in the mainstream.
(My bf gifted me the Aisha sk so when I play occasionally I have neopet.)

Sidenote:
But can we stop using the Aisha for everything Neopets. There's SO many others to choose from. I guess the kacheek & Aisha are the branding. But I wish they'd like create hype about the varwolf or other new Neopets. It feels like a missed marketing idea to draw more people in for NEW Neopets.

I'm genuinely kind of impressed they got this collab through. I don't play fortnite but I was under the impression their collabs are usually with huge companies or IPs. This is great exposure for neopets in my opinion especially to the younger generations. Smart move.
