Gong cha Bubble Tea Collaboration

UPDATE, June 30th ~5:45PM NST: The VIP event code is reportedly no longer working, and the event may now be sold out.

This week, Neopets has announced an extension of their collaboration with bubble tea chain Gong cha! The extension will include Gong cha locations in western Canada (BC, AB, MB, and SK), which were not included in the original February collaboration.

The collaboration will include an "Exclusive VIP Event" in Vancouver on Saturday, July 18. The event is free but ticketed and spaces are limited. You can RSVP at the link below. (You may need to enter code NEOPETSGCVIP1 if prompted.)

Beyond the event, further details of the collaboration have yet to be announced. It's not yet known when the promotion will begin & end, nor whether it will feature the same merch as the original promotion. The featured drinks will be the same according to the VIP event description.

The Blumaroo is a nice addition, but I wish they changed up the species more. Peophin would have been perfect for a summer collab!

Also I know this is the same style as last time, but anyone else kinda sick of the cutesy stuff? It's *cute* yes, but doesn't really feel like neopets half the time.

Yet another event I can't partake in. But, given I don't like bubble tea and I don't know anyone that does, it would be a bit of a waste to go anyways.

Big big win for me in Manitoba lol. I was also luckily travelling through Toronto and Montreal during the original collab, so I did get to enjoy it briefly. But now it's on

Lol, I met up with some other Neopians at Gong Cha during the first event and every single one of us minus the very last girl pulled Bruce plushies from the blind boxes. The staff were absolutely baffled but we all had fun. (If you were wondering, the very last girl in line pulled an Aisha)

I just tried to RSVP but it says the code is not available for use. Have all the slots already filled up? If so, I wish it would say that on the main event page.

Very happy that BC is part of the promotion this time! I went all over the place trying to find locations hosting the colab the last time, and nobody knew what I was even talking about until I reached the 3rd location on my list and a staffer told me it was east coast only.

I wonder if it'll be the same plush as last time or a new set?

That's so weird because the Eventbrite page says there's "few tickets left" but I guess the code just simply doesn't want to work for me. Oh well, I hope the people that got in have a good time!

I'm just happy to see it any time they're doing something outside of California. Hopefully someday they'll collab with Kung Fu Tea which is something we actually HAVE down here in the southeast. Please TNT if you're listening..!

Oh man, I live in Vancouver and didn't know there's an exclusive event near me! I would love to go, but the spots are sold out. Wish I knew earlier. When was it announced? I want to put myself in the waitlist but the code doesn't work

I don't know how this event already has a wait-list. When there were spots available the site wouldn't let me register. How were other people able to register when the code to RSVP didn't even work. Super frustrated.
