So they took like 6 months to "fix" something we thought was a fix to an earlier issue. I thought 101 aka "special" were those items they're talking about being promotional content.

"exclusive rewards and promotional content" Uhhh aren't the majority of items with those purposes r101?

Hm, like, looking at the list of r100 items, for many of them I see why they wouldn't want some of them restocking as many of them are either gotten in special ways (like the Golden Dubloon food), are given out via Random Events, or are/have been prizes for site competitions.

But at the same time there's also quite a few r100 that I don't get why they are r100 if they're not going to restock. I'm not in a mood to make a list, but there's quite a few r100 that need to be lowered to r99 as they should be appearing in shops.

Can we get some ambassadors to speak to them on this directly please?

Two things are very wrong:

1. Promotional items have -never- been r100. They are r101. This has been the case since 2002z
2. r100 items did once stock, and (certain sources) have revealed to us that their absence was due to randomly being commented out, without official word.

So… this just a lie. What kind of bug un comments code that stocks r100 items? R100 items were never promotional and were restock-able.

like, how many Nerkmids are r100? Neither of those are exclusive or promotional.

Also:

1. many r100 items were introduced to the site throughout time without any promotional tie at all, and were explicitly classified as items that stock in shops. See: r100 chocolates. They never had a promotion associated

2. The public naming systems for r100 we see as end users places it in the same bracket / name system we see from r80 - r99. It’a by r101 and above we get wacky and unique rarity titles. So this doesn’t even make sense.

Why not either: a) demote the obviously restockable items to r99,

-or-

b) promote these supposed promotional items to r101?

Golden Dubloon foods have Est. Values of 0 NP and presumably would not restock anyway. If they don't want certain r100s to restock, either change them to r101 or set their Est. Value to 0. There are better options than lying.

The only point of making a special distribution R100 instead of R101 is to make food gourmet, but they’ve never historically made gourmet food limited to time-limited distributions, and I’ve always been of the impression that was deliberate. So why now?

Actually, I decided to make a list of Items which should be restocking. I broke them up to categories for easier browsing:

So as I and tyuio_k50 said, make them r99 if you're going to make r100 not restock (or make the special items r101 and let the listed r100 restock as super rare items which they were intended to be).

As tyuio_k50 said, if the reason you don't want r100 to restock is because of these than change them to r101. Like, the reason a lot of these are r100 is due to archaic reasons anyway, had TNT made these when they fully dedicated to the Rarity rules they would all be r101.

Also having r100 be an option means they can make super rare restocking items, ones which while technically restock could also be used as prizes/rewards which would have an established market value from those lucky enough to snag a restock (in theory at least).

I can confirm the Sketch Burger is still r100, I checked the item in my gallery.

Raspberry Pop is still R100, just checked the one I have.

I wish they would let r101s be gourmet. Aren't they always exclusive foods typically created for just one event? It would at least give them a value beyond another surface to hold my dust collection

I hate they make this change, it's now harder to do the two faeries quest.

It’s great to have a list of the items that changed from R100 to R99, so thank you for doing that, but wouldn’t it also be equally (if not more imo), great to have a list of the items they changed from being able to be restocked to ones that can’t any longer? IE a list of items that shows the specific ones that changed from R100 to R101?

Furthermore, I’d suggest a category on jn to easily find items that have changed rarities or at the very least mentioning the rarity change on that item’s page along with what time frame it did. So item “x” went from R34 to R180 in March 2025. That would help users know whether to buy something they want for their gallery right away or if the prices haven’t changed since the rating update and can put off buying it for later.

No guarantees inflation doesn’t happen, but you can make a more informed decision with more information, which is always a good thing for any player, regardless of whether they’re new, old or a longtime active one.

Oh, wow, I didn't realize they went and changed some of the Rarities! I guess their adamant on their decision to have r100 be a new rarity for promotional stuff. Alright.

Now something I didn't realize but glad TNT did is that, had they made the food items I said should become r101, that would disqualify them from Gourmet Club! In addition I didn't realize some of these were prizes from the Battledome or other site features. So them remaining at r100 is a fine compromise (one that I'm now wondering if maybe they could lower some r101 food to being r100...).

Nerkmids are odd to keep at r100, I'm wondering if maybe it has something to do with the Alien Aisha Vending Machine. Eitherway, no harm nor foul; if anything matches with the weirdness that goes along with the Alien Aishas.

Oh, and How Purples Got Their Spots is only here because JN probably haven't confirmed a rarity change. Because I don't see why it would remain r100 when all the other books lowered to r99; it's not a special prize for the BD or anything, it's meant to restock. So if you have one be sure to report it to them asap!

FUN FACT: Due to these changes, the Wheel of Extravagance space that once awarded a select group of r100 items is now awarding r99 items.
