@tyuio_k50, no, tokens are kind of like Pet Day cap customs in that they change your pet's appearance entirely. You can customise around them with BGs or trinkets but if your pet is wearing a style, they can't wear any other clothing on their bodies.

And, I'm hyped for the new tokens! If I like any of the poses, I hope to be able to get some for myself. I wonder if they'll have just ace / aro flag options or if they'll include the aroace flag as well?

@smartalecked - Not sure what you're talking about. The weewoo has a pan flag on his chest. There's also a pan pet style in the image they provided (bottom left Aisha).

Do we know when the plot will officially end? They're still selling chapter boosters, etc...

I liked the news, it's great that we'll finally have a new game in the Altador Cup (besides a new team, and finally, is that Neopet with the question mark a Vandagyre?). I was happy to know that the proceeds from the Pride Token will be donated, and being able to cancel the active auction is great.

AUCTION HOUSE UPDATE! Getting those min/max updated will be nice.

I'm disgusted that I was right about the AC "battle pass"... Ugh.

Imagine if stamps from previous Altador Cups are locked behind the battle pass. I might have to riot if that turns out to be the case.

@vampyrefay - Thanks! That's good to know. I have actually enjoyed this plot, and they've finally made it more manageable and less of a grind, but it has been going on for so long.

I hope that they take what they learned from this one and apply it to more fun events in the coming months.

Altador Cup being same month as ArtFight is a choice. For that reason I probably won't be participating at all this year.

I'm confused about the outcry over battle passes awarding NP items, haven't the upcycle mystery capsules been doing that for years? I've gotten items worth millions from them.

Altador Cup:
* TRIVIA: So the Press Tour is going to be like a combination of last year's Grey Year mixed with the bonus trivia they did with last year's Trick-or-Treating, neat! Here's hoping that, since they'd want to save any new items for the Prize Shop, the trivia gives away old AC prizes (maybe some of the stamps, especially those which shot up in price due to the completion of Other IV Album which gave an Avatar).
* BATTLE PASS: Hmm... my feelings about the Adventure Pass is still mixed, so it kind of makes me uncomfortable we're seeing one for Altador Cup too. Is this a new pattern we're going to see for all future events/plots? I'm going to go out on a limb and say the one they did for Void Within wasn't bad, so if they put the same amount of effort into the Altador Cup's I'll be fine, maybe even consider purchasing. If there's one change I'd like them to do is just have the one NC pass; while they would have likely still priced it at 2,339 NC, having that lesser version for 1,299 which then offers to unlock the rest for another 1,299 (for a total of 2,598, over 200 NC more had to bought the ultimate pass from the start) felt kind of scummy and a bit of a trap for those who may not have realized. Just one "Player Pass" please.
* RETIRED AVATARS: ... Like what? And how? Like, there's a few Avatars I can think of individual teams would like to have re-released for their members. Are many of these the same Retired Avatars that was also given out for the Wheel or Celebration? Are they part of the above Pass? Well, I guess we'll just have to see.
* ALTADOR FROM THE CLOUDS: Would be neat if the theming for this year would be items based on Altador's reconstruction after the Shade attack. Background & foregrounds showing ruins and mid-rebuild, wearables being construction clothing & tools, maybe trinkets of lost artifacts that were re-discovered during digging & clean-up.

* TEAM NEOPIA CENTRAL: I'm going to guess that silhouette of a new Vandagyre player is for Team Neopia. I hope Team Neopia isn't just filled with members of the most recent species; Varwolf, Vandagyre, Gnorbu, Lutari & Xweetok.
* NEW GAME: Ooh, a new game; seemingly based on training Yooyu by guiding them through an obstacle course? How interesting... THOUGH does that also mean they've done improvements for the existing four games? Also, would adding a new game require them to rebalance the caps? Kiko Match III Gaming Challenge:
* UGH, please don't have it be EXACTLY like the Sakhmet Soiree; unless they fixed the glitch that was affecting a lot of players (including me)! For those who don't know or need a reminder: For the Sakhmet Soiree's Leaderboard they took your score off your High Score Table's score. Fine and dandy for most players, but for some unfortunate others there has been a bug with the High Score Table. You see, the High Score Table will NOT record your score if your username contains a word on the OLD filter list. How do I know? Apparently in Brazil, "Pika" is a bad word and thus was put on the filter list. So I was never able to record a score for the Sakhmet Soiree, not even for the Avatar! And yes, I've sent in a Ticket explaining this, but the response I got was an automated one asking for background browser data that wouldn't help them because the problem was on the Neopet's server end.
So, yeah, unless my ticket did get through to someone eventually and they fixed the issue behind-the-scenes (which would be great for a LOT of players affected by this glitch; BTW this is also means I can't earn Game Trophies), I am hoping we don't have another Game Challenge like Sakhmet Soiree. If they do the Leaderboard thing again have it record your score directly from the game, not connected to your High Score Table.

Auction House Conversion:
* Nice we'd be able to make an Auction while on the Auction House page, always felt odd you had to do it from your Inventory.
* "Guild Only" option is a nice inclusion.
* So sounds like we're getting some CAPTCHA added to the Auctions. Necessary evil I suppose, gone are the days of sniping a winning bid in the last couple of seconds (unless you're really good at clicking on motorcycles and traffic lights).
* As if getting a Trade cancelled on you wasn't infuriating enough. Feels like there's a bit of room of abuse here, like you're Auctioning a rare item and it's going good but then behind the scene someone offers that user another rare item so they cancel the auction even if another player was leading. It always felt the Auction was sort of balanced where you put the item up for sale and either no one bids, you just get what you asked, or maybe there was a bidding war and got some more NP than you normally would have. Being unable to cancel meant this was a committed decision, there was NO turning back if the auction didn't go the way you'd hope.
* Now I know they mentioned increasing the amount of items you could Auction, though I wonder if they would consider letting you have an Auction which includes a set of items. Basically a TP lot but in the Auctions.

Pride Prismatics:
* We got a Rainbow Colour and we're push it into being a LGBTQ+ icon!
* NOTE: Sarcasm aside, I do like this. I support the LGBTQ+ community and glad to see TNT embracing them with the Colour that makes the most sense. It's just funny how, before this, I did kind of consider Rainbow a "meh" Colour; it was like a Base Colours but with less cohesion and rarely did they do anything special with the color banding/mixing. And now Rainbow is/going to be one of the most popular Colours as you'll be able to pick its palette based on your gender identity (though I do hope later on they give Rainbow some special Prismatics to spice up the Colour itself).

* AC Stamps & Pass: WELL, if it's like Void Within's Adventure Pass, there will be a Base Experience progression for everyone. Obviously the Pass would be a good way to distribute more of the previous AC Avatars, and they would be tempted to lock some of them for the NC Pass. BUT, I think if they also give out a batch on the Base Experience side, it would be fair.
THAT SAID, I would still like to see something like my "Altador Cup Album Capsule" idea I mentioned in the previous News announcement: https://www.jellyneo.net/?go=comments&post=15938. If they have that in the Prize Shop as well it would balance out having stamps on the NC Pass side.

Note the filter I'm talking about was made by the original TNT during the height of Neopet's popularity and when it was being translated into multiple languages. They probably didn't want to take any chances with something happening on the international side in a language they may not fully understood.

Ohh yeaahh, I forgot the world of Neopia was going to get a major change. I wonder what that is. But if I were to be guessing: Has anyone else noticed how the greyscale of Faerieland is much more saturated now than it was when it was first hit with the Grey curse? Maybe they're going to revamp some colouring?

Interesting that "Pika" was censored even though it's short for one of the most popular Pokémon (like in @pikachu315111's case) but there was absolutely no problem when people were purposefully misspelling "lol" with a u instead of an o, when that's the D word in my language. (Yes, for both the bodypart and the insult)

Filters are weird and desperately need to be updated.
I understand why words like cucumber and grapes are filtered, but it really messes with petpage wishlists and things, too. And then there's words that never made sense to me why they were ever filtered.. and now I'm wondering if that's another case of them filtering foreign words I don't know.

Old/New Filters: So that's the thing, years ago they did make a new filter which is what the Neoboards and other parts of the site use today. However the High Score List (and the My Score List) is connected to an OLD filter that is no longer used around the site. Somewhere in Neo's Gordian Knot of coding there's a copy of the old filter that High Score List references to when deciding to record a score or not; if a username contains a word on that filter it will not record it.

Now, since I can't look into the code myself, I have no idea if its easy to track down where that filter is or its buried deep where a simple ctrl+f won't so easily find it. Also there's a question of what to do with the list once they do find it. Do they update it to match the new filters? Do they just disconnect it from the High Score List? If that would cause a problem, and they don't want to update it, could they simply just delete all the words leaving it as a blank list? I don't know, but I just did mention several things they could do so I'd like to think there is something that can be done.

Well let's note the definition of "profit" means part of the revenue which doesn't cover the initial cost of doing the project. So I'm taking it to meaning, after TNT takes out the money needed to reimburse the project, all additionally money (the profit) will be donated to It Gets Better. Aishas drawn with toebeans! We don't usually see that do we? I love how neopet's design is always flexible. (Like an aisha's feet/paws, a uni's hooves changing to hands, tarla going from silly goat thing to anthro baddie) I headcanon it's because the code, the very fabric of thier universe, is unstable - giving them all innate and fluid shapeshifting abilities. You're a Flotsam and can't open a doorknob with that flipper? Make it a hand real quick! But they need brushes, zaps, or potions to do extreamely drastic changes.

@pikachu - I would assume that once an auction has been bid on and any reserve has been met you would no longer be able to cancel it. That seems like the only fair implementation of that feature.

@pikachu315111 - I understand covering costs, but sometimes it is a 50/50 split. Taking 35%, 5%, etc. Maybe just the whole month give 100%, as you said. Just curious on that since is wasn't expanded on.

The new Altador Cup game isn't mentioned in the blog update. How did you find out the specifics?
