03rd June, Y28 - Just as it seemed we were on the precipice of felling the leviathan of the Void, the creature attacked us with a renewed fury. As the beast grew more and more enraged, the cavity on his chest began to glow and pulse with greater intensity until it discharged a burst of Void Essence. The mauve energy seemed to rejuvenate Vocivus, closing up the wounds we worked so hard to inflict. I know our swords are dulling and our joints are weary, but this battle isn’t over yet. Now is the time to rally, my fellow Neopians. If we don’t stop this terror from the Void here and now, Neopia as we may know it may be lost forever!
TNT has also shared with the community ambassadors a few important pieces of information about the Vocivus boss battle:
- The increase to 3,000,000,000 HP is the final planned update
- Once he is beaten down to 0 HP, the associated milestone prizes, avatars, and achievements will be retired
The last milestone prize is awarded for beating Vocivus down by 100,000 HP, so you can safely stop once you hit that and receive the Corrupted Staff of the Void!
UPDATE, June 3rd ~12 PM NST: TNT have increased Vocivus' HP again! He now has 3,000,000,000 HP!
UPDATE, June 3rd: As of earlier this morning, Vocivus has found new longevity!! Vocivus now has 1,700,000,000 HP (that's billion), doubling the previous HP total. We recommend getting your battles in as soon as you can, but it looks like he'll be sticking around a bit longer now.
As of 10:00 AM NST, Chapter 17 of the plot is now live!
First things first, visit the hub and click into the story to begin reading Chapter 17.
The 4,000 plot point chapter limit is still in effect, and your point limit has been reset back to 0 for this chapter to earn more points. Enjoy earning plot points for the activities you want to participate in.

Here's what's new, and live (keep watch on this list as we update):
- 4,000 point earning limit during Chapter 17, which should be 1 week long
- Read all of Chapter 17 to earn +9 points
- Reading page 5 of Chapter 17 will unlock Vanquish Vocivus Raid in the Battledome and at the NeoHospital
- This is a SITEWIDE boss battle! Vocivus has 850,000,000 HP and will need to be fought by all to bring it down! For battling, you'll receive prizes for dealing cumulative damage over many battles. (Claim at the Reserve Barracks.) So heal up after each battle and get back into it!
- Vocivus raid prizes go up to 100,000 HP cumulative damage dealt, so grind out those battles while you can (BUG: The 500 plot points you "receive" as a milestone prize for battling Vocivus does not actually get added to your chapter meter or your prize shop spendable total, but oddly will get added to the amount on your userlookup trophy.)
- Two new achievements, Banish the Darkness and Not a Bright Idea are now unlockable
- This chapter does not contain any new puzzles
- Continue collecting your Void Essences for +50 points each day (which does not count towards the chapter max!)
- Volunteer at the Hospital, where shifts award +40 points each
- Fight in the Battledome
- Continue earning points towards your Adventure Pass, if you have tiers left on the free track or have purchased the NC track
VOCIVUS TIP: If your pet has come down with a case of the Doldrums, don't forget you can visit the Healing Springs every 30 minutes! Or, check your Safety Deposit Box for Cooling Ointments (a cure + HP healer) given out for volunteering at the NeoHospital. You can also feed your pet another disease-giving item that may have a cheaper cure (but those prices may vary throughout the day, so double check cures pricing first).
